Looker's POV
I was amazed by the fact that not even time travel was possible, but the concept of the multiverse existed too.
The sky was the darkest shade of purple, and partly hazy. The city was fortunate to just have that much damage. My team was searching for any other Team Rocket members in the area except for the pair - Petrel and Proton.
The two Team Rocket Executives belonged to a parallel universe, I wasn't able to digest that piece of information. The funny part was that they were defeated by a bunch of kids.
"As I said, let's go and find a restaurant. I really like Shawarma. How come you guys never ate it ?" The young gym leader asked. The group started to walk away, continuing their childish conversation.
I turned to Petrel and Proton, they were sitting on the ground with string shot all over their torso. "I can't believe they just left us like this." Said Petrel.
He jarred relentlessly, which jarred my ears. Either he was sad or losing his mind, or both. He was stranded on a complete different universe, and only sounded so traumatic. I couldn't understand how he must be feeling.
On the other hand, Proton, a calm soul, had no reaction. Or maybe he was just shocked and couldn't comprehend. But his face was emotionless.
"First of all, I don't care. We can not go back. Second, I know running away is not going to do any good either. I don't want to work for the Team Rocket of this Earth. I don't trust. Third, I know I'm anyways going to die, so no point of reacting." Proton said.
He had a point, but I had doubts, why did he think he was going to die because of course he was not. I had a feeling that I should've told him that earlier.
"Life imprisonment is your punishment. And not death. Things must be like that where you came from, but not here. You won't die. I promise." I explained with a victorious smile.
"Not that death. Your Earth has a different frequency than ours, we won't survive it for long." Proton said. Our eyes met, I could clearly tell he wasn't lying. I could feel it, the pain he was going through. Then, I had a brilliant idea.
I could ask them to work for me. Meanwhile, I could ask someone from NASA to rebuild the device to send them back to their Earth. Till that happens, they could join Team Rocket to help me get information.
I think I know a guy - I thought. I quickly placed a call from my mobile phone.
"Hello ?"
"Gregory! How are you?" I asked.
"Looker? What do you want?"
"Why not forget the past and talk business?"
"I asked - what-do-you-want."
"Multiversal transportation thingy."
"For?"
"Long story. Just tell me if you could do it."
"Of course I can. Gimme some time."
"Thank you."
"Bye. I'll call you back."Now that Greg was ready to help, what could possibly go wrong. I explained my plans to Petrel and Proton. Their reaction was even shocking for me.
"Ridiculous." Said Proton. "But if you're saying that you can send us back. I'll do it. But what if it doesn't work. If something goes wrong. I know you have a Plan B for that. Don't you ?" Asked Proton.
"Of course he does. And I see no other option than joining Team Rocket." Said Petrel. "What's Plan B ?"
"Don't worry. I do have a Plan B. And that only includes me, I am the Plan. But let's not have something to eat first. I'm hungry." I said. "Shawarma ?"
(Flashback)
December 31, 2013.
The sky was blue, etcetera, now let's focus on the important things. Today was important, because I was going to catch Giovanni with my own hands (and not a Pokeball).
