Back To The Future

Red's POV

It wasn't easy for my brain to register time travel. It was difficult to understand. First, I couldn't even believe I actually did it. And my expressionless face didn't express anything. I was standing with a blank face.

I had the GS Ball in my hand and I grasped it tighter. Lyra stepped towards me. Bugsy's eyes narrowed, curious to see how we disappear.

Thunder rumbled and I realised something. Where was Ethan ? I couldn't see him anywhere around.

I began to say, 'Where is Eth-'. Lyra grabbed the Pokeball and we were no more in the Ilex Forest.

I found myself under Giovanni's office desk again with Lyra sitting next to me. I looked through a small hole under the table. Giovanni was still there.

Just next me was a hard disk, lying on the floor. I realised we were back on the second date and time we left.

Giovanni opened the door and walked out. I quickly picked up the hard disk and changed it with the original one. I kept the second hard drive away on the table.

'Now, we need to get out of here'. I told Lyra. We crawled out and stood up.

'But how ?', asked Lyra, anxious. She walked to the door and looked through the key hole. 'There are Team Rocket grunts all over the place. It's completely impossible'.

'So we need to get out the old fashioned way'. I said, grabbing out the Pokedex. 'Go Ditto'.

Suddenly, the door began to open. Lyra and I rushed to the table and hid under it again.

Giovanni walked in along with a Rocket Grunt. The grunt had a laptop in his hands.

'Sir, as I was saying. The cameras are not yet installed except for the main entrance, so this is the only photo we have of them'. The grunt showed something to Giovanni on the laptop.

'I think I must go back to the Gym before things get worse. And find those kids as soon as possible', said Giovanni. He sat back on a chair which did not match the color combination of any other.

He then gestured his hand on the armrest, seemed like he was typing a password or something. The chair started to elevate downwards. In a few moments, the chair and Giovanni were gone.

Then the chair came back without Giovanni. The Team Rocket grunt sat on a couch and began doing something on the laptop.

'I need to match their faces with everyone in Kanto. Oof, this job is difficult, should've stayed in Fuschia', said the Grunt. Suddenly his face lit up with joy. 'Wow, that was easy. I found the details for the boy. But the girl's face is unidentifiable. I should call Giovanni right away'.

The grunt rushed outside along with the laptop. Team Rocket knew we were there. It was really creepy even for me.

'Let's get out if here, Red. I'm having a very bad feeling', said Lyra, standing up again.

'Right. Okay, Ditto. Transform into this'. I showed Kadabra's photo to Ditto and Ditto transformed. 'Teleport us out of here'.

'Ditto', squeaked Ditto. We were a few meters away from the Game Corner, standing on the damp soil. My shoe base was wet again.

I called Ditto back and started walking away from the Game Corner.

I looked at the night sky, now filled with black clouds. I couldn't be a coincidence that it was thunderous where we can from.

Then the lightning came, a brilliant shock of white in the night sky, forking silently to the unsuspecting ground. The boom sound came a seconds after without any warning.
