Lyra's POV
I sat on my couch, happy, happy about that I was home again. I missed this place for the last 6 months. Never thought I would miss it so much. I couldn't believe my Johto adventure was complete and finally I was eligible for Pokemon League. I was a true Pokemon Trainer. It was almost time to sit back and go after my dreams, fashion designing.
Mom had asked my ten thousand times how we came New Bark Town from Blackthorn City in just two days. Everytime she asked Red and I would smile at her. Little did she know if I ever told her the truth she would not believe me.
We came here on Red's Charizard, flying, hundred of feet above ground. Mother would freak out if she knew I was riding a supersonic flying Pokemon cause she believed I wasn't the kind of person who would do it.
She also told us not to worry about the registrations for both of us for the league as father worked in the Pokemon League and he'd register us before anyone else does.
"Well you two should be leaving soon, the league is going to start the day after." Said Mother, watching Man versus Wild on television, Bear Grylls was surely the bravest man alive.
Red stunned after hearing what mother had said. He got up and quickly started packing his bag. "What's the date today?"
"Um." I looked at my Pokegear. "It's August the 10th. What's wrong? The league is gonna start on 12th, what's the hurry?"
"We need practice!" He said.
He was right, we did need practice, but there was no time for that. What can you practice in a day? Looking at Red, I felt nothing but concern, he was a brilliant trainer, he lacked one quality which was belief. He just knew things, he knew he would win, but he didn't believe it with all his heart. Deep down he was scared of losing, again, and this time wouldn't be his fault.
"Lyra, we should be leaving as soon as possible." Red picked up his bag. "Victory Road is the perfect place to practice. Um actually, it is the best one. I'm sure some of your Pokemon would evolve on the way to the Indigo Plateau."
"Is that so?" I said, realising that my starter hadn't evolved yet. "When are we leaving?"
"I literally just said that we're leaving right now." Red walked to the door, then he looked at mother. "I'm sure you'd we praying for Lyra."
"Of course I am, Red." Said Mother. She got up and hugged me, and then Red. "Best of luck you two, I'll come to watch the finals."
The first place Red wanted to visit was Professor Elm's lab. I didn't really want to meet Elm, he seemed a bit off to me. I mean, most of the time he just admired how good was Professor Juniper was.
All of his conversations had a special mention of the Unova region's Professor. Though his laboratory was pretty.
"Red! Lyra! What a pleasant surprise!" Professor Elm welcomed us. "Ethan was here an hour ago. He showed me his Pokemon, quite powerful team he had."
I accept it, Ethan had really powerful Pokemon, it doesn't mean he'll be able to defeat Red. Ethan is just another easy battle for Red, my cousin's the best.
"Well you two should be leaving, what made you come here?" Asked Elm.
"It's just, my Pokedex." Red handed his Pokedex to Elm. "It's been running into issues, it has stopped saying the information, it just displays it now. Sometimes it does, but-"
"I'm really not the right person for this." Said Elm. "Why don't you talk to Oak? He invented it. He'd be of greater help, besides technology is not my area."
