Red's POV

Things were not quite as they seemed, my life and the life of my other counterpart. Had varying personalities. What was surprising was his determined will and his drive to accomplish. He certainly didn't act like me, nor was he a Pokémon Champion yet from my world. He seemed poised and compelled to hunt for the truth and that's what made him stronger in the state he was in.

"Eh-hem!" I coughed to get his attention as we both ran through the edge of Ilex Forest.

"You're Red right."

"........." The boy nodded after I phrased my question with curious eyes.

"How many badges have you won so far ?" I asked.

The kid raised a single finger to signify the amount he gained. My eyes elevated in complete surprise. He was obviously still a trainer in the beginning stages. I had to wonder how he looked so mature and so different from the me that I am right now?

"Leaf, you're Red's partner, right ?"

She nodded in response to my question.

"In the world him and you are in. Was he always this quiet—I mean in comparison to me ?"

She couldn't help but giggle at my silly question.

"Haha! No, Red was very much like you are when he was little. He would crack jokes and would shout and play most of the time when I was a small child. He was quite the extrovert !"

"Whoa! Does he have a dream of becoming the champion ?"

"That is his goal." Confirmed Leaf.

So, it is his commitment then? It made total sense, when I was in this kid's shoes It was always my dream to become a great Pokémon Champion. Now that my dream had finally been realized, I still have the dream of being able to learn and conquer new regions and to obtain many kinds of Pokémon along the way.

"Do you plan to do anything else after you've accomplished your goal ?" I inquired.

The boy stopped and looked directly toward me with intense brown eyes. His intent had always been to accomplish this goal and nothing else. This Red really was just like me when I initially started on my Journey in the Kanto region.

"I haven't thought that far ahead, you seem pretty strong for a Pokémon Trainer like me." He complimented.

I couldn't help but scratch the back of my head modestly from that compliment.

"Ah-haha! You could say that I am, yes."

"Did you defeat the league." He asked.

"He actually lost the Pokémon Leag—

"Shoosh!" I shouted dismissively to Bugsy.
