Butch's POV

"How much time do we have?" Asked Giovanni.

"A few months." I said. Giovanni looked surprised and horrified at the same time. "They're looking for the two, the locations are unknown."

"Okay then." Said Giovanni. "Call your partner and tell her that vacation's over. You're going to Hoenn. Though I'll need more information regarding this."

"So you want me to spy on the two teams?" I asked. "Sounds like a plan."

"Yeah. A stupid plan." Said Giovanni. "Join team Magma and ask Cassidy to join Aqua, then you both can easily leak the information to me."

As much as I hated Giovanni, he was smart, but he missed the part where he explained to get into any of those teams. They don't just hire anyone, there is a strict background check and in order to get hired I must-

I had just the idea for me to get into Team Aqua, as for Magma, it was gonna be hard.

"Your flight to Hoenn has been scheduled." Said Giovanni. "Within the next month, both of you should get settled in Magma and Aqua."

Lyra's POV

It had been two days since Red and I won our first Elite four match, and he was still left with three of them. I had been waking up early to train my Pokemon, but today was different, as today, we had our second match.

The second elite was Koga, he was also the gym leader of Fuschia City.

I was going back to the Indigo Plateau from the Victory Road. Yes, I had been training there and my Pokemon were becoming stronger every day, but I expected something more, I had an urge to win the League and it wasn't something I wanted for myself.

Mom and Dad forced me into training but for a change I wanted to do something for them before I started a career in fashion designing, which I was a hundred percent sure would happen someday in the future.

The bright side about training everyday at the Victory Road and battling trainers was that Chikorita had evolved into Bayleef and Sentret had evolved into Furret.

As for the rest of my Pokemon, they sure were getting stronger but didn't evolve. They needed some more time and I was sure I could get past one or two more elites with my current team.

The Johto league was being pretty harsh on Red and any other trainer who had more than 8 gym badges. He had told me that Will recommended him to use a stronger team, so he would probably be using Nidoking and some of his older Pokemon for the next few battles.

Everything was going to be easy and simple for Ethan, he had a perfect team, which was as strong as Red's current team. Ethan had Typhlosion, Pupitar, Xatu, Pichu and the red colored Gyarados. I had no idea what his last Pokemon was.

The clouds rumbled and droplets of water touched the Earth. It had started raining. I must hurry — I thought. Before the clothes get dirty.

I couldn't run as the soil was already wet, and the rain didn't make it easier. I avoided mud and dirt as much as possible, clothes can be dried but cleaning them is a messy business, I doubt the league would have a laundry like the Pokecenters do.

The rain was getting heavier second by second, it was the moment I wished I was with Red. We could just fly the way over to the plateau.

"Need a ride?" Said a voice that came from behind. I turned around to see Silver. Giovanni's runaway son who came out to prove himself as a Pokemon Trainer and a responsible person.
