"That's disgusting, Rhyan!" I shrieked, making a face.

He laughed, shrugging his shoulders, "It's really not that bad. It just taste like chicken."

"Ducks and chickens are two completely different animals," I mumbled.

He chucked, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"Ask me a question," I pleaded.

"Hmm."

I waited patiently for what seemed like ages.

"Most romantic date you've ever been on?"

Crap.

"Uh, I've never been on an actual date.. so next question."

He stopped walking, looking at me in disbelief.

"What?" I said.

"Have you seriously never been on a date before?"

Why did he sound so suprised? I looked down, embarrassed.

"Gabbie?" He tilted my chin up.

I shook my head, looking up at him.

"Is there a reason why? There has to be. I mean, guys must throw themselves at you."

I shook my head, biting my lower lip, nervously.

There was a brief silence that gave me the chills.

"You see, when you're ugly like me, guys don't like you. Therefore, the possibilities of me dating are-"

Rhyan's finger crashed on my lips.

"Shhh."

My eyes widened a fraction.

"Don't even lie to my face like this Gabriella Reynolds."

I rolled my eyes, waving his finger off my lips, "I'm cold. Can we keep walking now?"

That's when he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him.
His sent intoxicated me, it was like a drug. I couldn't get enough.

I didn't know why he decided to give me this giant bear hug, but I wasn't complaining.

To think that he might actually like me..it made my heart accelerate, my head start to spin and I practically couldn't think straight. I really liked him, and I didn't know what to do about it. The fear of rejection held me back.

"Don't think I'm not enjoying this amazing hug, but you're kinda crushing me, Rhy." I let out, in a small voice.

"Oh, sorry," he let me go, a sea of red flooding his cheeks.

"It's okay. I kinda enjoyed it." I gigged bumping into his side lightly.

We continued to walk, arriving at my house after fifteen minutes. It's a good thing he only lived a block away.

We walled up to my door, stopping with my hand on the knob.

"Thanks for walking with me, you goof." I teased, smiling.

He chucked, "Anything for you, dork."
I puckered my bottom lip, "I'm a dork?"

He half smiled, rubbing his thumb across my lip.

I could already feel all the blood rushing to my face at his touch.

"Yeah, you're a dork. But it's okay, because you're a cute little dork."

I smiled, embarrassed, before gluing my eyes to the ground. My heart got this fuzzy feeling I'd never really felt before.

And I liked it.

I looked back at him to find his perfectly structured face inches from mine. I could feel his breath brush aginst my face as my cheeks started to burn.

Oh my God.

He slowly leaned in, tilting his head at the last second, before pressing his lips to my cheek softly.

I fluttered my eyes close feeling the warmth of his lips on my cheek.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He whispered, before turning away.

I watched him leave, then entered my house, leaning on the closed door behind me.
