"Are you sure you're okay?" Jake asked, for the hundredth time.
"Yes," I replied, "Now please focus on the road. I wanna make it to school in one piece."
He dropped the question and continued driving.
I stared out the window, letting my mind drift. That dream from last night had messed with my emotions.
Bad.
I eneded up waking up to Sophia's phone call before I had a chance to 'choose' who I wanted to be with.
The dream felt more real then life itself. When me and Rhyan 'kissed', I felt it. The warmth of our bodies, my fingers entangled in his thick hair, his broad arms wrapped tightly around me.
I brushed my finger over my lips gently, and sure enough the spark was still there.
What if I had made the wrong decision? What if I still had feelings for Rhyan underneath all the drama?
I let out a long sigh, as we pulled into the school parking lot.
"Hey," Jake's voice snapped me out of it.
"Yes?"
He leaned in and kissed me softly.
"We have reached our destination. Welcome to Hell." He teased, with a goofy smile.
I smiled a bit, then got out of the car.
Jake slid his fingers between mine as he took my hand. I felt a tad bit of hope in the pit of my stomach.
He walked me to my locker and planted a kiss on my cheek, before heading to his own.
When I opened my locker, an envelope flew out, falling to the ground.
I picked it up and noticed my name written in pretty formal handwriting on the front. I opened it and frowned when I realized who it was from.
It was an invitation to Valorie's birthday party. I had almost forgotten.

Before I knew it, it was time for lunch.
I roamed the halls with Jake by my side. He had an arm around my waist, as he lead me into the cafeteria.
"So," He looked around the cafeteria, "Do you wanna sit with your friends?"
I looked over at my lunch table and sure enough, everyone was there. Including Rhyan.
"Can I sit with you?" I asked.
He nodded and lead me to his lunch table.
The table was full of jocks and cheerleaders. I had almost forgotten that he stands really high in the food chain, despite his recent arrival.
"Hey guys," Jake greeted all his friends, "Is it cool if Gabbie sits with us?"
Everyone looked around at each other and nodded.
Jake sat down, and I took a seat next to him.
I looked down at my hands nervously. This was the first time in years that I had abandoned my seating arrangement and the people that came with it. Did I even dare to look at them?
I looked around the lunch table and noticed a lot of tans, bulged arms, and lots and lots of make-up.
I looked back down at my hands, feeling a flood of guilt begin to build. I took a moment to reflect on everything that had actually happened. The things I knew were true and the things I had made up.
