"u-um, well, i-i, uh," the boy trailed off, and tyler held back a slight smile.
he'd have to admit this guy was pretty cute. the shyness, that tyler usually found annoying, seemed fitting for him. tyler found it adorable, really.
"so, what's your name?" tyler asked after studying the flustered boy's face for a few seconds.
the boy turned to look at tyler, his brown eyes wide. a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e.
"j-josh," the boy quietly said, keeping his eyes on tyler. "w-well, joshua, b-but it's s-s-stupid."
"alright, joshua," tyler smirked.
he watched as josh rolled his eyes before starting to stare into the distance. after a few minutes tyler felt it was getting awkward, so without saying another word he stood up and quickly walked off.
he felt kind of guilty, but he didn't know what to say to josh, so the obvious way to go was to run away, right?
well, no, it wasn't. but tyler was awkward. he didn't like speaking because his voice was too pitchy and bird-like. he literally just wanted to shoot himself whenever he heard his voice. and besides, who needs to use their voice? there's many ways of communicating, like sign language or writing or whatever else there was that tyler was not interested in.
tyler could barely even write words correctly, and his handwriting was absolutely horrendous. like some three-year-olds or some shit like that. his teachers probably didn't even bother trying to read his essays and other things, and that might just be part of the reason that he got such awful grades.
of course it could also be that he just didn't give a fuck, too, but the first option seems more probable. if you ask tyler, that is. his teachers most likely disagree, as well as his parents. well,if his parents would be around, then.
"guess i'm a piece of lazy-ass shit, how great. just get me to care."
