a/n; heyy thank you for reading! i'd love to hear your thoughts on the revelations in the last chapters, like were you expecting it or  do you like it, stuff like that!

josh breathed in as the bench boy, tyler, turned around and looked at him for a second before turning away and starting to push away again.

"leave me alone," he said, but it wasn't in his usual annoyed tone. his voice sounded broken and tired, and that made josh's heart shatter.

"a-are you alright?" josh asked, not removing is hand off tyler's shoulder and following him out of the therapy room.

"i'm fucking amazing. what does it look like?" tyler sighed, his voice getting quieter and quieter all the time.

"i'm sorry for what happened," josh said, lifting his hand and shoving it in his pocket and looking down at his feet. "that must've felt horrible."

"look, you don't have to be nice to me. now you know i'm just a freak, you got what you wanted," tyler mumbled, rolling his eyes slightly to power his statement.

"actually i-"

"just save it," tyler said, shaking his head but making no effort to move anywhere whatsoever.

"can you listen to me?" josh questioned, slightly frustrated. "please?"

tyler didn't reply, and josh took that as his cue to continue.

"i wanted to get to know you," josh explained, still looking down at his shoes. "i wanted to see if all the rumours were true, if you really were that terrible of a person."

"well, i'm even worse, so does it really matter what you wanted anymore?"

"yes, i still want to get to know you," josh said, looking up at the taller boy. "you intrigue me."

"pfsh, sure," tyler chuckled, rolling his eyes to hide the small smile trying to form on his lips.

"and besides, would it hurt you to get to know someone gay?"

"i already do," tyler intervened, crossing his arms across his chest. "that red haired guy and his boyfriend."

"well, someone your age and gay, then?" josh asked, and watched as tyler smiled a bit, hiding it by looking down at his shoes and shuffling.

"well, i suppose not."
