4 Months later...
Pinanood kong ibaba ang kabaong ng kaibigan ko sa tabi ng puntod ni Ryoc. I was silently crying as I watch my best friend's body being buried.
After Ryoc's death, Laine tried to make her last months happy. Lagi niyang sinasabi na konting oras na lang, makikita na niya ulit si Ryoc. Until her health detoriated at naging bed ridden siya.
Her death wasn't sad nor happy. We all just knew. And we all saw it in our minds.
Ryoc was standing in the middle of the path, dressed in white. He's patiently waiting for someone as the trees beside him seemed to glow under the blue skies. It was a very lovely day.
His face lighted up when he saw Laine, dressed up with a white dress and holding some wild flowers on one of her hands.
Ryoc would lay his hand to Laine, and she will take it. Holding each other's hands, they will happily continue their journey somewhere where they can fulfill their dreams together.
Somewhere only they know.
