First Person P.O.V
___

After Aris had pulled me up, we were back walking again. We could now see the city in all aspects of its ruins. As we had gotten closer to it and eventually there, it wasn't a sight for sore eyes. Chunks of concrete laid everywhere, the heat was unbearable, but the worst part had been the noises.

Loud growls came from every dark area. They weren't from an animal, no.

They were human and that was the worst.

We had decided to split up into groups to explore the lost city.

That's when the low sounds became too close.

"C'mon!" I shouted, pointing up to climb a pile of debris. I pushed Aris in front of me and we started climbing. One wrong step and everything could fall apart.

We made it about halfway before it was too late for savour.

I felt something bite deep into my ankle.

I was bitten by a crank.
