The next day was moving day. I started to pack my things, which included my published copy of The Exhausting Journey, my IPhone 11, and my Apple laptop.

I didn't pack many clothes, since I have plenty of them back in Egypt.
But I wore this outfit.

When I was done, I ordered Fiona to move the travelling back downstairs, which she did without complaining

When I was done, I ordered Fiona to move the travelling back downstairs, which she did without complaining.

As I was sitting in my seat on the plane, I was thinking.
There has to be more than the "my company has problems" excuse so we would go back to Egypt. I thought.

What is it ? I questioned myself.
14 hours later we arrived at Borj El-Arab, Alexandra's main airport.
I let out my phone, and called Hayden.

"Hey, Adelle. How's it going ?" he asked.
"It's going great so far. We arrived at Alexandria's Airport, and It' s kind of chilling here. It's like 6 pm. But still OK"

He paused for a moment.
"listen, tell me your plan again ? Just to revise the steps"
"well, I'll talk to the principal about having you guys around, and giving the school around 3 million dollars at the end of the month..and mother, Who are you talking to ?"

I turned my attention to my mother, who just put her IPhone close to her ear, and started to talk.
She stared at me weirdly.
"relax, I'm just calling an Uber."

I rolled my eyes.
"well, Hayden. I guess I'll talk to you late-AHHHH"
I fell face first to the ground. Feeling embarrassed, I turned my sight to whoever was behind me. Rajwan was holding his luggage which hit my leg and caused me to fall.

Rajwan's eyes widened as he stepped towards me.
"sorry ! I'm so sorry !"
He was rather shocked, almost too shocked.

"I didn't mean to- "
"It's okay, Don't worry"
I spoke, getting up with his help.
"as I was saying Hayden, I'll talk to you later"
"Bye, Adelle"

I hung up.
We rode the Uber to our villa, and since it was a two hours car ride, Allison fell asleep on Rajwan's shoulder. And I tried to contact Barron, but he never answered.

"Barron, I'm sorry" I typed, sending the text to him. He received it but never answered, at least never saw it.
I started to tear up.

"We shouldn't have left" I whispered.

An hour later we arrived at our villa in Stanley Bridge, aka the best region in Alexandria.
I entered the house following my mother, and ran to my room clutching my luggage.

Closing the door, rather harshly, I threw myself on the bed, thoughts running through my head furiously.
What if Barron is mad at me for leaving, because he thought I would change my mother's mind, and I didn't. I thought.

I'll try calling him later. Maybe he'll answer.
I thought finally, and tried to sleep in my uncomfortable clothes.
But I couldn't get Barron out of head.

I got up and changed into my pijamas which I had brought earlier.
