Chapter 61

"Sorry, Adelle.."
Hayden muttered.
"Yeah, sorry."
Johnny replied.

It didn't take a quick moment for Matt to realize that he wasn't done yet, and they started fighting again. I let out a groan of exasperation, and got up to leave.
(not literally leave, just go outside to have some fresh air.)

Third Person P.O.V :

Barron watched as she got out of the place, then stared up angrily at the others.
"I ordered you to shut up, didn't I?"

He said, irritated.
"And who listens to your orders ?"
Matt snapped.
Everyone else looked shocked by Matt's remark.
Barron stood for a moment, taken aback by Matt's remark as well, but as soon as he realized it, his expression changed to anger.
"I'm leaving. Have fun."

He said coldly, and started to walk out of the place, followed by Rajwan, who tried to catch up with him.

"Wait a minute, Barron."
Rajwan spoke, stopping in front of Barron, trying to catch his attention.
"What is it ?"

"Just..you can't leave right now, okay? Don't leave Adelle alone, she's not feeling well, and she doesn't want me next to her, so it has to be you."
He said, looking into the other one's eyes, hopeful but managed to keep it cool.

"What happened between you two ?"
Barron asked, rather curious.
"Let's just say I've been..inquisitive at the wrong time."
Rajwan said slowly, and Barron just nodded.

"Okay. I won't leave her, don't worry."
The dirty-blonde boy reassured.
Rajwan smiled.
"I'm not."

Barron started looking around him.
"Where is Adelle anyway ?"
"Right here."
They both turned around to see Adelle standing close to them, her hands wrapped around her chest, standing elegantly before them.

Adelle's P.O.V :

I stood looking at my boyfriend and my brother, who were talking about me. Typically, I heard the whole thing, but it made me realize that Rajwan was only looking after me, not being nosy. I was wrong again.

"I'm sorry I was too harsh on you, Rajwan."
I said, hugging him. He hugged me back, rubbing my back gently.
"It's okay. I get it."
"I know you're looking out for me, but maybe you two deserve to know the truth about Mariam."

We sat down on a bench, then I started telling them everything. From the beginning to Maria's death, and everything in between.
"Weird, huh ?"
I asked.

"Uncanny."
Barron muttered, astonished by the story he just heard.
Rajwan agreed.
"Listen. I'm sorry I pushed you, I just didn't know there was a dark story behind this. But, what does this have anything to do with you going back to Notre Dame ?"

He asked, confused.
"Well, it's because I saw Mariam when we were searching for Mars in the school."
I blurted out, and the two looked at me, puzzled, then their expressions turned to shock.

"What..?"

Rajwan asked, dumbfounded. I nodded at him.
"It's all true.."
