"Mum, you have to do this !"
"Why should I ? What do you need a million dollars for, anyway ?"As you guessed, I told my mum about the situation. Well, not entirely, but she doesn't want to give the money away because I didn't give her a valid reason.
If I gave her a valid reason, she won't do it either.
So amusing there, mum.
Should I tell her ?
No- I shouldn't. Should I ?"Well, I'll go talk to dad then. Maybe he'll approve."
I spoke teasingly, knowing that she'll give in any minute now.
"Okay, fine. I'll do it. Promise me a valid reason soon ?""Deal. Take the money out of the bank and someone will drop by to take them away. Call the police before we go."
Done.
We hung up later, and I entered the location again.
"She'll manage. We should send someone to follow the rules and drop them into the hacker's car. The police will be watching. It will be over soon."I assured, explaining, as they all nodded towards me.
I hoped it would be that easy.
A Few Hours Later :
I explained the situation over to mum again as she went to tell the police about it.
"You know what ? Just put the officer on the line, mum."I snapped exasperately as I realized that mum was too confused to do such thing.
My brother then explained the situation again to the police officer, who was just as confused as mum was.
As he did so, Barron wrapped his arm around my torso reassuringly."It will be alright."
He mumbled into my ear. I nodded, and wrapped my arms around his waist.Rajwan handed the phone back to me, his expression suddenly turning thoughtful.
I put the phone closer to my ear, knowing that I shouldn't care about his weird thoughts at that moment. When I was done with the phone call, I noticed my brother holding his phone eagerly, typing fiercely on the keyboard.
I didn't know what he was eager about so much, but I knew it wasn't the time for it. Last time I checked, our data was handed on a silver platter to some hacker we didn't know.
It wasn't his fault anyway.
Should I ask him ?No, I shouldn't.
I sat down next to Barron on the bench, still thinking about what the police might do to the hacker of they caught him.
In case if you didn't know, Egypt doesn't exactly have the most strict law. A case like this will send the hacker to prison for a few months.
Three at most.I sighed in desperation, Barron rubbed my shoulder comfortingly, trying to get me to calm down.
When suddenly, I saw Rajwan's face twisting into shock, taking him a few moments to realize whatever was happening on his phone.
Was it another problem ?
I didn't care till I heard his voice echoing in my ears.
"Don't send the money."
He said softly."It's a trap."
To Be Continued..
