Later at Night :
I sat on the couch, next to my siblings. Rajwan was trying to confront me, which I didn't let him anyway, I was thinking hard. Allison was scrolling down Instagram nonchalantly, not caring about my situation.
"Adelle, it's going to be fine. I promise."
Rajwan said softly, looking at me. I didn't gave him a glance, as I stared into nothing, thinking.
"Why do you think he's here ? Michael, I mean."I asked, turning to glance at him. His lovely green eyes shone back at me, concern filling them.
"I don't know. But I don't want you to keep thinking about him. It'll be fine."I smiled at his remark, and for some reason, I remembered that day in Egypt, when me and Aya were at Notre Dame, and I pushed Rajwan away for asking about Mariam.
Thoughts brought other thoughts.
Notre Dame..
Notre Dame..We were walking in a very high pace, talking to Rajwan, then I hit someone.
I stared into the person's eyes, and noticed that they were full of anger, hatred. That face..
It's Anthony..!My eyes widened in shock.
I can get it now.
How could I forget ?
It wasn't that long of a while. I couldn't believe it..Anthony was in Notre Dame that night. He stared at me with hatred, and right now he's acting like a gentleman. Why ? It's obvious ! Because he doesn't want me to tell the others where I saw him. What was he doing there anyway ?My thoughts snapped back at my brother, who was still staring at me with worry.
I felt guilty for pushing him away that day. To relief my guilt, I hugged him.
He flinched at first, shocked, but eventually hugged me back, rubbing my back gently.Allison looked up from her phone and eyed us weirdly.
"What are you two doing ? Did you miss him that much ?"
I rolled my eyes at her comment, and let Rajwan go."It's getting late, don't you think ?"
I said, wanting to get out of there.
They both nodded, and we ended up going to bed.
I, of course, couldn't close an eye.10 Days Later :
Me, Barron and the others were quietly working on our God-knows-what. I didn't have to study, because the finals finished over a week ago. But Barron had to, so I couldn't distract him. But I wrapped my arms around his waist as if I didn't want him to escape. I don't know why.
Judy and Anthony were sitting beside each other, talking about whatsoever.
From time to time, I could feel Judy's eyes burning on me, and I assumed it was because I was hugging Barron all the time.
She was jealous. However, a noise made me snap out of my thoughts, losing all the concentration I had.
Familiar faces were entering the location, two of them jumping up and down in happiness.
It took me a moment to realize who they were. But eventually I recognized them, and I couldn't believe myself."Aya..? Basma ?"
To Be Continued..
