Later That Day :
"so you wanted to say something ?"
Barron asked me as we headed outside the school for a walk.
"yes."I unlocked my phone, and opened a photo, showing it to Barron.
It was Menna Tawfiq's picture.
"Have you seen her before ?"Barron stared at the picture thoughtfully.
"yes, I..think I've seen her at your school before..but why ?"
I knew he was getting doubtful, showing a picture of your former close friend to your boyfriend is not usually a good sign."I just..feel betrayed.."
I said mysteriously, trailing off, and I noticed that his expression changed to hurt.
"You don't..doubt me, do you ?"I looked towards him immediately, and stopped walking.
"No, Barron. Never. I love you."
I hugged his waist, as he sighed in relief, hugging me back. His expression changing back to relaxation.
"Thank you. I love you, too."When we let go, I saw a few seven-graders pointing at us and giggling. We're still near the school.
"Let's go somewhere else."I said, holding his hand, then we walked away quickly.
10 Minutes Later :
Loughran Street :"so you think this Menna stole your phone ? Why would you think so ?"
Barron said, a confused look on his beautiful face."It's not me who think so, but honestly, mum's explanation makes sense. I don't know why, but it does."
I explained slowly to him, he nodded.
"I need to tell you something else.."
"what is it ?"I had tears in my eyes, but tried to blink them away.
"Barron, I have..Charles Bonnet Syndrome..I see stuff that are not really there, and I sometimes see the future.."He seemed shocked.
"what ? Are you serious ?"
I nodded, tears threatening to stream down my cheeks.
"so ?"
I stared at the ground."You might hate me because of that, right ?"
He shook his head.
"No. Never."
I blinked my eyes, shocked.
"Adelle, I'll never hate you. I think it's cool that you see the future."Happiness started to fill the best of me, as I tried to wipe away my tears.
"so why are you..telling me about Menna ?"
He said, looking towards me with his deep blue eyes."because I trust you, Barron. And I always trusted Menna, but she betrayed my trust. I trust you, and I know you won't betray my trust like Menna, or the other people who betrayed me before."
He nodded understandingly, hugging my shoulders tightly."I won't betray your trust. that's a promise, Goddess."
"and I know you won't break it, Barron."
When I had the courage to let go, we kissed passionately.I realized that most people stopped and started staring.
I groaned, and we headed home after. The Next Day :
Omar El-Mochtar Middle School :I walked down the stairs quickly, trying to catch up with my classmates as they headed towards P.E class. Which I'm not in by the way.
While I was running clumsily, trying not fall, I hit someone.
He stopped me by holding my forearms, and I looked up."..Blanket Jackson..?"
I said, clearly in shock.
