I rolled my eyes at Judy, who was still glaring at me to say something, to fix the situation.
I eyed Anthony again, and turned back at Michael.
I swear he looks familiar. Call me an idiot, but it's true. I'm not imagining things this time.I turned to Rajwan, who was eyeing me sadly. He noticed that my expression changed to distress.
Having Michael here actually brought back memories.I started to walk out of the place.
"Adelle- wait !"
My brother called after me, but I didn't listen. In Another Place :
"So you're the cheater one or the manipulator one ?"
Millie demanded, looking at Michael.
"I don't manipulate anybody, so I assume I'm the cheater one..-"He was interrupted by a loud crack on his face. Millie had slapped him.
"Hey- I don't know who she is !"
Michael yelled.
Annie walked to Millie's side, ready to slap him.
"Annie, no !"Rajwan yelled, holding Annie back, forbidding her from slapping the cheater.
Annie just stared at him, her expression turning thoughtful.
Then they let each other go, as Millie walked out of the place, followed by the other three girls.Adelle's P.O.V :
I sat outside the location on a bench, trying to process everything out.
Hanin's boyfriend, my ex boyfriend, Michael, is here for some reason. But he always told me he doesn't have the money to come to America. So how come he's here ?And, Judy's boyfriend, Anthony, is too weird. The guy acts like a gentleman, but I swear he's here for trouble, or that Judy manipulated him to do something.
Either ways, they're both here for trouble. I certainly didn't want Barron to be jealous because my ex boyfriend is here. I don't like Michael anymore. They were all fake feelings, which I thought were real anyway.
Why does Hanin want revenge so much ?
The question kept repeating in my head, until I drifted off, and the words lost their meaning.
Boyfriend or not, I could tell that Judy still wants Barron, but he let her down once. Judy isn't the kind that begs for things. She's definitely pathetic, but if she wants something, she'll get it. Pretty sure that's what Marwa taught her and Fayrouz when we were young. So I kept sinking into my thoughts.
What should I do?
I kept asking myself, but quickly snapped out of it when I felt voices behind me.I didn't turn around. I felt paralyzed.
Someone tapped my shoulder, and I could feel someone sitting next to me.
I slowly turned around, and saw Veronica's face.
"Hey, are you feeling good ?"
She asked, and I just shook my head."I don't..- this Anthony, I don't know where I saw him before."
I said, thinking hard.
"You probably just bumped into him somewhere, that's all."
Millie said reassuringly, patting my shoulder gently."No, but this time is serious. I keep going back and forth about where I might've seen him before."
I said softly, staring into nothing."Don't think about it too much. It's going to be fine."
Annie assured, and I nodded slightly."Yeah, okay."
We ended up having a great conversation, which snapped me out of my deep thoughts, and out of my space-out zone.
Only for a while.
