Chapter 43

The next day I sat outside, writing a chapter of Different Dimensions in my notebook.
Of course, Barron wasn't done with school yet, so I had no reason to be distracted. Not that he's the kind of bad distraction, he's the good kind. Because, you know, he's cute.

I wanted to thank Allison and Rajwan for what they did after the ants incident yesterday, but either I got distracted, or they were busy.

I heard someone walking towards me, and I looked up.
"Millie !"
I hugged her tightly, and we sat down on the bench, talking in excitement.

"Oh my God ! You have no idea how much I missed you !"
Millie exclaimed, and I nodded happily.
"I missed you too ! Gosh, all that drama made me want to talk to someone."

"well, I'm here now !"
We started talking on random topics, until Jacob randomly passed by, not noticing Millie.
"oh. I see Jacob's here."
Millie said, and you can hear pain in her tone.

I sighed before speaking.
"I'm sorry, Millie..but you have to know something. When I heard about the two of you, I was mad at Jacob that I could've strangled him, and I gave him the cold shoulder, but then, for some reason, he was cautious. He didn't do anything wrong to make me fire him, and spoke nicer to me, like he was afraid of getting fired.."

I took a deep breath.
"I'm still mad at him for what he did to you. But, if you want me to do something about him, I could-"

"No, no. I'm sorry, Adelle, I would never push you to do something like that. I know he cheated on me, but that does not mean you can fire him because I asked you to. It's his job, I won't take that away from him."

I smiled.
"wow, Millie. That's really nice of you."
When we started to talk again, Tenzing, Matt and Isaak walked towards us.
"Hey, Adelle. Hey, Millie. Can we go get food ?"

Why do they always go for food ?
"Yes, and..take Jacob with you."
They nodded and walked off.
"also, I heard about the Pitbull incident. What really happened ?"
Millie asked, and after I heard it, my expression turned to confusion.

Pitbull ?
I didn't tell her about Pitbull.
"Wait, where did you hear that ?"
"I was in a café, and heard two people talking about it, so I wanted to ask you, but..face to face, you know ?"

I nodded, but was still confused.
I don't remember telling anyone about Pitbull.
But I told her anyway, and she was shocked.
"ew, why would anyone do such thing? He's so disgusting."

She said, her eyes lowering to the ground.

How right she was.

Later, I wanted to know how those people hear about Pitbull.

And was shocked by how they knew.

I just couldn't believe it.
