2 Days Later :
Funeral Day :

I stood in front of the mirror, checking myself out as I brushed my very long hair.
I wore an off-shoulder tall-sleeves black blouse, tight black leggings, and black shoes that had heels, but I didn't care.
(the outfit looks like the one Sabrina Carpenter wore for Thumbs)

My brother entered the room after a knock. Oh, how polite.
"Wow, you look amazing."
He complimented, and I smiled.
"Thanks, Rajwan ! You look great too..I hope today turns out alright though."

I said sadly, slightly drifting off.
"Don't worry, It'll be alright."
He said reassuringly, and I nodded.
I know I trust my brother and sister on everything, but this time I wasn't sure. I had a bad feeling.

I got a notification.
A text from Hanin.
Listen up, I'm coming to that funeral.
Received 12:12 PM.

I typed back, trying to convince her otherwise, but she didn't listen. That's when I know that something bad is going to happen at the funeral.

Later that day we arrived at the location where the funeral was held. People came strolling in, including paparazzi, and I saw a woman with black hair, blue eyes, tight features, wearing all black whom I assumed was Mars' mother.

"Hayden, where is Mars' dad ? I heard they were both alive."
I asked Hayden as we watched the people going in.
"Jacob told me that Matt told him that Mars' father left them when he was only seven. But, he's got to be here, right ? It's his son's funeral."

I nodded sadly. But my face immediately lightened up because I saw Barron coming out of his fancy limo, with his mum, Melania.
"Hey, I'm gonna say hi to Barron."
He nodded as I left.

"Melania, Thanks so much for coming."
I said as I hugged Melania, grateful.
"Anything for my daughter-in-law."
She joked, and I giggled.
Then, I hugged Barron tightly around the waist, breathing into his scent.

Everything about him was comforting.

Later on, the funeral started, and I sat quietly next to Barron, who was listening to what the priest was saying.
I didn't pay much attention, I kept glancing over Mars' coffin nervously. I don't know why. Did I expect Mars' ghost coming out of the coffin and warning us that something is gonna go wrong in the funeral ? I definitely didn't need to. I already knew it.

A few moments later, I glanced at the seats in the back, and saw Hanin.
Gosh.

"Hanin's here."
I whispered to Barron's ear, and he turned around, trying not to make it obvious that he was looking at her. But she noticed. And smirked at me evilly.

I mean, I knew she wanted revenge for not giving her the role of Ravenna sooner or later, but this was a whole other level. I didn't think Hanin could be so evil.

Later, it was my turn to speak about Mars.
That's when it went wrong..

To Be Continued..
