Y/n's POV-

I felt the wind whip against my face as I dove down the wall, closing my eyes for a mere second, I opened them with more determination than I had ever felt before. As I neared the buildings and ground I shot my hooks onto a nearby roof and used my gas to slow myself down and propel myself forward. My blood pumped loudly in my ears as I neared my first titan, a 10 meter class. The titan had a civilian in its hand and I could hear the civilian cry out for help.

With all of my adrenaline pumping I fired my hooks onto the titan’s hand and sliced it’s hand clean off, freeing the civilian. Wasting no time I hooked onto the titan’s nape and gave one clean slice, sending the titan to the ground. I flew down and caught the civilian before he could hit the ground and led him to the ground safely.

“Thank you so much! You have just saved my life!” he said in utter relief.

“It’s nothing, now run!” I shouted as I turned and shot out towards the next beast. One by one I took titans down, making sure to keep count in my head. It was exhilarating, for the first time in so long I felt complete, as if this was where I belonged. For each civilian that I ensured the safety of I felt myself become a little more full inside.

I had finally killed all the titans that had been nearing the gate and began to make my way over to the ones nearing the boats. I looked over towards the gates and saw many more titans had made their way in through the destroyed gate. ‘We are never going to be able to take out all of these if they just keep coming, these civilians have to evacuate as fast as possible or we are all done for,’ I thought to myself, returning my focus to the three titans nearing the boats.

With as much speed as I could muster, I hooked on to the three, one by one, slicing their napes. Just as I landed on a roof I noticed all the civilians looking up to me, stunned by my speed and I quickly began running out of sight so that they would continue their evacuation. I look to my right and saw a group of soldiers coming down from the wall. From the looks of it, it seemed like the rest of the Survey Corps had just arrived, but I continue on my way to the next set of titans that had made their way into town.

When I had finally arrived I went straight for the nape of one of the titans, then to the legs of the next, eventually reaching it’s nape with my ruthless slicing and turned to head for the last titan in the group when suddenly, as if in a single flash of light, blood sprayed from the last titans nape and came tumbling to the ground.

There on top of the titan stood a short man with raven colored hair. His jacket was stitched with the Wings of Freedom and with one final look at him I realized that I had to get out of there before he realized I didn’t belong. ‘Damn he got here from the wall fast, and I didn’t even hear him coming to kill that last son of a bitch,’ I thought to myself.

I began running in the opposite direction of the soldier and dropped to the ground under a roof, making my way through back alleys so I wouldn’t be seen using my gear by the scouts who were arriving till I was far enough away. When I believed I was out of the sights of the man I began to make my way towards titans that had made their way back over to the area of town near where I was headed. I looked over my shoulder and saw the first boat begin to leave, meaning soon all the boats should be out of town completely.

‘I’ll take out as many as I can until I see that everyone has been evacuated, then I’ll head back to my town, hopefully titans won’t have made it that far by the time I leave. I’ll get a few items and some clothes and leave on my horse.’

I try to stay low and out of the front lines where more soldiers are, clearing out the titans on the outskirts of town and trying to distract others to keep them from making their way to the crowds of people. Finally, I see the last boat begin to leave and I sigh with relief, but out of the corner of my eye I spot it.
