Y/n’s POV-

When we entered the court most people were already inside. On our right there was the Military Police and those who supported Eren’s arrest by them, on the left was the Scouts and those supporting Eren’s usefulness. In the back, where we entered, was a crowd of civilians here to watch the events. We walked through their crowd and made our way to the stands on the left.

There was an ominous open space in the middle of the room where I could only assume they would take Eren. In the front of the room was a large podium where the general of all three Military Branches, Darius Zackly, sat, acting as a judge.

Tensions in the air were high as everyone awaited Eren’s entry. I kept my face cold and free of emotions to keep from anyone using my own feelings against me. Levi noticed my odd behavior and through his own cold look, offered me a look of shock. Levi hadn’t seen me look like this, void of emotion, since he first met me during the battle at Shiganshina, and it probably threw him off.

After a little longer, the doors on the right side of the courthouse were opened and two soldiers came out, holding onto Eren on either side. Eren’s face turned to complete shock upon seeing the court in front of him, he must not have been told everything that was going to happen today.

I shot Levi a look of irritation in response to Eren’s confusion and he shrugged his shoulders, “Jaeger was told enough to keep his a** alive, so don’t worry about him.”

The two soldiers took Eren, who was handcuffed, to the center of the room, where they had him kneel. They placed a pole into the floor that went in between his handcuffs, successfully trapping him in his kneeling position on the floor.

I looked around as Eren did and caught sight of who he was looking at. Mikasa and Armin were a few people down from Erwin, Levi, and I in the stands. Eren looked shocked to see them and so did I, but they were the ones to bring him back to the wall, so it made sense.

I looked back over to Levi and Erwin, who both had the same straight face that stared blankly forward. I returned with them to my cold stance as Eren spotted me. All Eren would see was three soldiers looking blankly ahead, unreadable.

“Shall we begin?” General Zackly finally asked, “You are Eren Jaeger, a soldier who has sworn to give his life for the people. Is that correct?”

     “Yes,” Eren responded hesitantly.

“Given the circumstances, this deliberation will be held as a court-martial. Regular law will not apply, in other words. I have full decision-making authority in this matter, which includes determining whether you should live or die,” Zackly said coldly, causing me to take a sharp inhale, a sign of my nerves only Levi would pick up, as he looked over to me, “Any Objections?”

     “No, Sir,” Eren answered.

“Your astuteness is appreciated. As expected, concealing your existence has proven impossible. Unless we publicly disclose your existence, in one fashion or another, we risk the outbreak of a new, non-Titan threat. It falls to me to decide which regiment should take charge of you… The Military Police Regiment… or the Scout Regiment… Now let’s hear what the Military Police proposes.”

“Yes, Sir. I, Nile Dawk, Commander of the Military Police, offer the following proposal. We believe that, after a thorough examination of Eren’s body, he should be disposed of immediately. It’s true that his Titan ability helped thwart this latest incursion. However, his existence is now stirring up rebellious ideas as well. As such, after he’s provided us with as much information as possible, he will be made a fallen warrior of humanity.”
