Y/n’s POV-

“Hey Levi, it’s me,” I said as I pulled open the door to his office waltzing in after just putting my gear away in my room after a few hours of training.

“Someone has been doing some work I see,” Levi said, looking up at my exhausted form.

I shot him a playful smile and walked over to his desk, leaning over it a bit to look at his paperwork. He had a large pile that seemed to be completed and a smaller pile that he was currently working on. “So how has your day been so far,” I asked.

“Well, I woke up a lot later than expected and without my brat next to me, so there was that,” he smirked.

I blushed at his phrasing, ‘his brat,’ I thought. “Sorry, I was starving and you needed sleep.”

“It’s fine, I’ll have plenty of mornings to wake up beside your beautiful face,” he said and I blushed more, “You are so cute when you blush like that.”

“Don’t tease me Levi!” I complained, he just chuckled to himself, looking back down at his paperwork, “How much paperwork do you have left?”

“Well, I got a lot done yesterday, so not much.”

“So, do you think you would be done by dinner?” I asked.

He looked up to me and playfully propped his chin up on his intertwined fingers curiously, “I’m sure I will be, why? What’s going on in that head of yours  Y/n?”

“Well, I was just thinking about how most couples usually go on dates, and I know we can’t really go on dates per say, since we are here in the military, but I was thinking...maybe we could just go outside with some tea after dinner, just watch the stars and enjoy each other’s company…” I explained, getting uncharacteristically nervous.

Levi smirked, “You know what, that sounds perfect Y/n, I have been missing your company and we need to have our first date as a couple at some point.”

Levi’s words were coy and teasing, like he wanted me to get embarrassed at every word that came out of his mouth. He knows how strange this whole relationship thing is to me, the least he could do is not tease me about how flustered everything he does gets me.

“I long for the time I will finally be able to talk with you about this whole relationship thing without getting embarrassingly flustered,” I pouted.

I heard Levi chuckle, “You think it is any easier for me.”

“Well, obviously. Just look at you, teasing me and being all cool about this, you can’t say one thing about -this- without me getting all red,” I complained.

“Oh Y/n, you have no idea how much this all makes me the exact same way on the inside, I’m just better at hiding it than you. Plus, I find if I try to tease you about it, it is easier to ignore my own embarrassing feelings,” he explained with amusement.

I crossed my arms and let out a huff, turning to face away from him, “Oh don’t give me that, brat,” Levi said. I heard his chair move on the wooden ground and then arms wrapped around my waist from behind. Levi rested his cheek against my shoulder blade.

“I tease you because I like you so much, and I know you know that,” he whispered.

“Doesn’t mean I can’t still pout about it,” I said, turning to face him.

“That’s what makes you such a brat,” he said, “but you’re my brat.”

He moved to go back to his desk and said, “I’ll make sure I have this all done by dinner.”
