Y/n’s POV-

When I woke up I felt very warm, it was comforting considering how cold it was when I had fallen asleep in the carriage. I tried to think back to the previous night, vaguely remembering how events went as I thought. It took a few seconds, but my conversation with Levi last night began to resurface.

He had carried me to his room and I told him to sleep in the bed with me, walls, I am so embarrassing when I am tired. I began to open my eyes and quickly realized why I was so warm. A few inches away from me was Levi, sound asleep. We were facing each other, but we weren’t close enough to touch, thankfully, as I don’t think my embarrassment could take much more.

I turned my head to the side of the bed I was on and realized I was the one who had moved closer to Levi, as there was plenty of room on my side of the bed left empty. Levi looked very peaceful as he slept, all the pain from his past not shown in a grimace. His face was calm and relaxed and I allowed myself to smile at the way his features rested.

After appreciating his tranquillity I shifted over lightly so Levi wouldn’t notice I was lying so close to him. Once I was at the edge of the bed, I turned around to look out the window at the rising sun. It must be nearing time to head for breakfast, so I just continued off the bed so that I could get ready.

I was about to leave the room all together to head for mine for clothes, but I looked back over at Levi right before I left. As much as I didn’t want to disturb his peaceful sleep, I knew he needed to get up and ready as well. I waddled in my drowsiness over to Levi’s side and gently shook him from side to side.

He slowly turned over to look up at me from his back and blinked his eyes open. His look of calm was quickly replaced with his usual grimace and he mumbled, “What time is it?”

I chucked at the familiarity of the situation and said. “Sun’s rising, must be getting close to breakfast, thought you’d want some time to get up, I was just about to leave to my room.”

“Oh, I see, well hurry up then, my squad has a meeting at breakfast to go over the move, you need to be there. You know what they all look like, just find whatever table they are at and sit with them,” He said, sitting up.

“Oh, ok then, I’ll see you then,” I said, heading towards the door.

Levi grunted in acknowledgment and I left for my room. I dressed quickly and did my hair up so it was out of my face, just in case we did any training today. I finished up the last of my morning routine and began to hear doors open and shut around my room, signaling it was time for breakfast.

I walked to the mess hall and quickly looked around, as to not seem lost. I quickly found the table with the four members of my new squad and walked over to them. One of them, the one who had an older look to him, noticed me first and gave me a slight scowl.

The way he held his eyes, small and menacing, and the way he dressed and styled his hair seemed very reminiscent of Levi; it put me off a little. As I reached the table and sat down across from him, he let out a ‘tch’ under his breath. Very reminiscent of Levi.

As I took my seat the other three noticed me and turned to face me. Next to me on my right was a man with long blonde hair up in a bun and brown eyes, he seemed to be pretty serious, but also much more friendly than the man across from me.

Across from him was the girl, Petra, who has been very cold to me thus far, she didn’t look too happy to see me, looking up from the table with only her eyes, not her head, leading to a not very pleasant scowl to be present on her face. Next to her was the man trying to act like Levi, and lastly, next to him was a man with short brown hair, he seemed a little quiet, but still not mean.
