Y/n's POV-

‘Shit,” I thought to myself as I stood up to see that shorty from earlier and two other scouts in front of me.

“Who are you and why are you here?” I hear from the tall scout with the bushy eyebrows.

I continue to look down so that they can’t see what I look like. I desperately search for some sort of escape route. I can’t run around them because they will just follow me and eventually catch me, but there are only two possible ways out of this. Either run for it, or...

     “Oi! Answer him brat!”

And with that I make up my mind. I grab onto my hood, pulling it down my face more and let myself fall backwards, much to the shock of the men above. As I fall I let myself turn so I am facing the ground, I let myself run against the wall as my fall builds momentum and then push off the wall and dive down back into the town.

I didn’t dare look backwards, knowing the three would be hot on my tail, but the shock must have given me a decent head start. If I can navigate my way through the town quick enough I might be able to lose them and buy myself enough time to get through the broken gate and make my way back to my village. Of course I would be going the long way without being able to just get down from the wall, but I should be able to make it.

As I got closer to the ground I straightened up and shot my hooks, using gas to slow me down before I hit the hard ground below. I headed towards the middle of the town, sticking close to the ground, weaving myself around and through buildings in my way.

Not hearing them, I spared a glance behind myself seeing none of them in the sky above. Sticking low to the ground I begin to make my way to the broken gate. Once I made it just outside of the gate I knew I would need to come out of hiding.

I shot my hooks onto the top of the hole in the gate and used my gas to propel me through. From a far ways behind me I heard one of them shout “Over there!”, but I seemed to have bought myself time. Once out of the district I stuck close to the wall and made my way west to my village.

As I became closer to it though, I saw a 15 meter class titan to the north. I knew I shouldn’t risk going to the town and attracting the titan to me, but I couldn’t bring myself to leave it all behind. I had to go, I had to try, I at least needed my horse or i’d never make it to Wall Rose.

Levi’s POV-

“Tch! They made it out of the gate,” I said in pure bitterness towards the fact they seemed to get away from us.

I continued full speed out of the gate when I heard Erwin yelling behind me. “Levi stop! We will take our horses from here, it’s too dangerous without one and you know that!”

“The brat will get away if we take time to mount our horses!”

“You will take your horse, that’s an order Levi, I’m not letting you get yourself killed because you are pissed someone was able to outsmart you using their gear. You will mount your horse and we will continue West till we find them!”

Letting out one last ‘tch’ I mount my horse and we continue as fast as we can on horseback in the direction of the person.

*Small Time Skip*

We finally came across a town that was beginning to become clear in the distance. I began to speed up, something inside me being very anxious to finally find this mystery person, though that was probably just because of the fact that they did, in fact, manage to outsmart me back in the town. As I got closer I found a path that lead up to the cottages on the outskirts of the village.
