A few weeks passed by and now it was the weekend, giving me more time on my schedule to spend trying to become friends with Sebastian.

"Are you okay?" Sebastian asked. "You seem a little less talkative today."

He was right, the past few weeks I was talkative but not today.

"I'm fine," I told him.

"You're eyes are a Salmon color," He pointed out. "Daniel told me that's the color that means you're being dishonest."

Of course he did I thought, those two kept teaching Sebastian about my eye colors until he could repeat them all by memory.

"Why did you ask them about my eyes?" I questioned before adding. "Not that I mind, I'm just curious."

"Well," He paused. "I was wondering what they meant and I was going to ask you but I just asked them instead."

My head tilted to the side. "Is this because of the friend thing?"

He nodded. "Yeah, I just wanted to know the different emotions so I could sort out the positive and negative colors."

I was really curious now. "Why?"

"So I know when I've made a mistake," He answered.

For a slight second I saw the ghost of a small smile appear on his face, it disappeared as fast as it came leaving me to question if I imagined it or not.

"Why do you do that?" The question slipped right out of my mouth.

His eyebrows furrowed. "Do what?"

I paused for a second, shaking my head. "Never mind, it's nothing."

He sighed. "You're lying again."

"Yeah, I guess I am," I said. "But now isn't the best time to ask that question so it'll have to wait for another day."

He nodded in understanding. "I can wait for another day."

"Not to be creepy or anything but this is the cutest conversation between you two that we've eavesdropped in," Marc told us, appearing out of nowhere with Daniel.

I sighed shaking my head at him as he came up to my vacant right side and put his left arm around me.

I turned to my left and looked at Sebastian who was glaring at Marc. "Don't you have somewhere else to be?"

"Yeah but that somewhere else is no fun," He replied.

"Now that we have that out of the way," I paused looking at Marc and Daniel. "How do you two always appear out of nowhere?"

This time it was Daniel that answered. "Magic."

I rolled my eyes, smiling. "Of course, I should have known."

Sebastian still looked irritated by their presence but as soon as Marc took his arm of my shoulder to threaten Daniel for something he seemed to relax a little bit.

"You alright?" I asked. "I mean I can understand being a little annoyed by Marc but you seemed ready for murder."

"Yeah, I'm alright now," He answered.

"Good, cause I don't want to witness someone being killed," I told him, giving him a small smile.

He let out a silent laugh and shook his head. "You are one of a kind, Avery."

"Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked.

He shrugged. "I haven't decided."

I flopped onto the bed in the male dorms, waiting for Charles to show up.

It didn't take long. "What's up with you?"

"Nothing, I just missed hanging out with my childhood friend that's all," I replied.

He sat down on the bed. "Okay, then do you want to read?"

Charles and I have had a thing that we've done since we could first read a book. We would go to one of each other's houses and we'd pick a book, whoever was "hosting" the reading would be the one who read the book to the other.

"You're hosting," I said.

He laughed. "Obviously, you're in my dorm room remember?"

I joined in the laughter as Charles reached over and grabbed the book that was on his nightstand, we both quieted down as he opened up the first page. As he began reading I closed my eyes and let myself be taken away by the story until I drifted off to sleep.

I stayed that way until Charles woke me up for dinner, saying that I should get out there and eat so I don't complain about being hungry the next day.

I went out to the Great Hall and before I had the chance to find an open area at the Hufflepuff table I was being dragged towards the Slytherin table by Marc and Daniel.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

"Because Sebastian is in a bad mood and we're pretty sure you can fix it," Daniel told me.

"Yeah, using your Hufflepuff powers to save the day," Marc started. "I honestly don't know how you guys are able to do that."

"That's because it's a Hufflepuff power and you're a Slytherin," I pointed out.

He nodded. "That makes sense actually."

That was the last sentence spoken before they sat me down next to Sebastian then walked away.

I immediately noticed that he was upset so I put my hand on his arm. "Are you okay?"

I felt him tense up for a second before looking over and realizing it was me. He looked at my eyes before answering.

"Not yet, they aren't right yet," He answered.

"What isn't right?" I asked.

"You're concerned, and that's not the color I want to see right now," He pointed out my currently Navy Blue eyes.

"Someone said something to make me upset, now don't worry about it," He told me. "I don't want you to be concerned I want you to be happy."

I slowly lost my worry when I realized something that caused me to laugh. "Do you have any idea what you sound like right now?"

He looked confused. "What do I sound like?"

"You sound like a determined Hufflepuff," I explained, still laughing.

My eyes must have changed to the color Sebastian wanted because his mood changed drastically for the better.

"Marc was right," He said.

I tilted my head. "About what?"

He gave me his first smile, it was small but it was progress from permanent frowns. "You do have Hufflepuff powers."

I shrugged. "It's one of my talents I guess."

The smile was still there as he shook his head. "It's not just a talent, it is a gift given to the best of the best Hufflepuffs."

I gave a gasp of fake shock. "Are you saying that I am one of the best?"

"No Avery, I'm saying you are the best," He answered.
