In this world, there are many tools one may use to direct magic. One of the most well known of these is the wand. Of course it is a common saying that "The wand chooses the wizard", with all wands having a degree of awareness with which they select...

The pear tree and shrub are a species of the genus Pyrus, in the family Rosaceae, bearing the pomaceous fruit of the same name. Several species of pear are valued for their edible fruit and juices while others are cultivated as trees.
This golden-toned wood produces wands of splendid magical powers, which give of their best in the hands of the warm-hearted, the generous, and the wise. Possessors of pear wands are, in my experience, usually popular and well-respected. I do not know of a single instance where a pear wand has been discovered in the possession of a Dark witch or wizard. Pear wands are among the most resilient, and I have often observed that they may still present a remarkable appearance of newness, even after many years of hard use. - Garrick Ollivander
As Ollivander put it, the ideal owners of pear wands are "warm-hearted, generous, and wise." Thus, it is not surprising how popular they may be within their peer group or their community as well. As optimists, they try to look on the bright side and are resilient in their efforts. They are not known for giving up. They and their opinions are well-respected because these witches and wizards are known to lead positive changes and do what is necessary to achieve their goals. Though they are charming, they are also tough, stable, and consistent.
Their emotions are strong but they keep them under control unless it benefits their cause to unleash them. People who are overly negative or show that they are inconsiderate or don't care about other people deeply aggravate these witches and wizards. Their rage is more likely to be shown than their sadness. As they have 'wet' anger, they may cry when they are vexed–they might even yell at the same time.
Their goals in life center around inspiring and empowering others to make a change. They especially love working and empowering children to develop their talents and passions and show them how they can make a change in their community. They may overindulge when it comes to physical pleasures. There may be a problem with over-eating or spending their money too quickly on luxury items (bath bombs, massages, spa days, manicures, etc.). Pear wands tend to pick more extroverts and ambiverts as owners, but introvert pear wand owners are not as uncommon as one would think. They may try to make change through less directly social means.
Orange, yellow, and green swirls of light are emitted from this wand occasionally during spellwork. Pear wands, as Ollivander says, look new after years of hard use. They keep a polished, gleaming appearance. Feels an affinity with apple wands– it's common if one sibling has an apple wand another will have a pear.
