Morus celtidifolia, the Texas mulberry, is a plant species native to South America, Central America, Mexico, and the southwestern United States, ranging from Argentina north to Arizona and Oklahoma. In the USA, it grows in canyons and on slopes, usually near streams, at elevations of 200–2,200 m (660–7,220 ft). The magical properties of the Texas mulberry are often thought to be influenced by its environment. Found near streams, it is believed to channel the fluidity and adaptability of water into its magic, aiding in enchantments and smooth spell casting. Its growth on slopes shapes its durability and resilience, enhancing the wand's strength when used with specific cores. In the annals of wandcrafting lore, the Texas mulberry has been cherished by the legendary wandmaker Tiberius Spellwright, who famously used it to create the Enchanted Seven, a collection of wands known for their unparalleled adaptability. These wands played notable roles in the Great Enchantment Gathering of Eldoria, where their unique properties were showcased.

Hailing from the Americas, Texas Mulberry wands possess an intrinsic allure, often characterized by their deep, rich brown hue speckled with lighter, leaf-like markings that catch the light with every flick. They feel smooth and cool to the touch, akin to polished stone, complementing their reputation for gentle, fluid casting. These wands are often found in the hands of the frugal and pessimistic, as well as those who are habitually unlucky in love. The swiftness of their casting can vary depending on the core, but even in their most basic form, they are adept at enchanting and biological magics. However, their prowess diminishes when it comes to defensive and offensive spells. Despite this, Mulberry wands exhibit a surprising degree of strength, often enhanced by a dragon heartstring core. In use, the wand responds as if with its own will, guiding spells with an unexpected force that belies its unassuming appearance.

Common core pairings with Texas Mulberry include unicorn hair, phoenix feather, and dragon heartstring. Unicorn hair cores are known to produce the most consistent magic and are the easiest to bond with, offering a balanced, steady flow, ideal for enchanting spells. Phoenix feather cores grant the wand an exceptional adaptability, allowing it to handle a wide range of spells but with a particular flair for transformation magic. Dragon heartstring cores, as mentioned, impart a great deal of strength, enhancing the wand's potency even in challenging situations, making it an excellent choice for complex enchantments. Each core pairing intensifies the unique attributes of Texas Mulberry, crafting a wand that stands out in any magical endeavor.
