Chapter 18

So far Luke has been a real gentlemen, but he seems tense, I'd say he was nervous but he has nothing to be nervous about.

We were in the middle of town and I knew were we going, Nandos. He took me down a road I wouldn't usually go down but I know every possible route to Nandos, it's still sweet that he tried to surprise me. How did he know to take me here?

He must have made reservations because he spoke to the waiter and he took us to our table immediately, very impressive.

"you've been to Nandos before?" the waiter asked and before Luke could even look up I said yes and then turned a horrible shade of red

"have I ever told you how cute you look when you blush?" he's just making me blush even more

"no, but now you have, have I ever told you how adorable look when you smirk?" two can play at this game

"hey I'm not adorable I'm very manly" I burst out in laughter "it's not funny either" he's now laughing with me

"It's adorable that you think you're manly"

"are you laughing with me or at me?" he sounds a bit serious now

"a bit of both, but I'll stop"

There was a bit of silence before Luke got up to go order, he insisted that I didn't go up because that meant I had to pay and he weren't going to let me.

"is your burger okay? do you need a refill, any sauce?" so many questions

"yeah it's lovely and no I'm okay thanks"

"I'm glad your enjoying it, I was thinking about taking you to some fancy restaurant but I thought you'd like it here better"

"how did you know to bring me here? it's my favourite restaurant, it's not something you could guess?" I suppose he could have guessed but it would have been a lucky guess

"okay, before you came down I asked Marley if you'd like the restaurant I originally picked but she told me to take you to Nandos, so I did as I was told" I'll have to remember to thank Marley, the restaurant must've sounded too fancy or bad

"yeah, you always listen to Marley, she's always right" we burst out laughing again but we were shortly interrupted when Luke's phone started ringing

"sorry, I'm gonna have to go an take this will you be okay?"

"yeah, I'll be fine" it must be urgent, I couldn't imagine him leaving unless he had to

Luke has been gone 15 minutes and I'm beginning to think he's ditched me, at least he hasn't left me with the bill. I got my bag and left, I weren't waiting around for him any longer and I thought nothing could ruin our night. As I'm on my out I see him outside standing with someone, it's a girl. My adrenaline kicks in and I start to walk faster towards them, as I get closer I know who it is.

"April?"
