Chapter 23

It's been a week. I haven't spoken to Calum since I told him I chose Luke and I haven't spoken to Luke. I meant every word I said Calum, and I still do, I just haven't told Luke yet.
Marley's has been trying to get me to text him to meet up but I'm not ready to. I feel like whatever I had with Luke has ended before it even began, how is that even possible? You can't end something that never even started, but that's what happened.

6 hours later...
"So are you going to call him?" Marley asked while I was getting the pizza menu

"No, I'm not, now stop asking me about it, I don't want to talk about it, have you talked to April?" all week she's been pestering me about Luke and I'm fed up now

"Nope, have you?" I shake my head, we've never gone this long without speaking before, but we've never had a reason not to speak before. I decide to change the topic,

"Anyway, how are you and Michael? You've been on a few dates now haven't you?" I see her eyes light up by the mention of his name,

"We're good, we haven't made anything official yet but I think we will soon, I mean I'm ready to but I don't know about him" I'm happy for Marley, I really, it's just hard knowing that I was almost there "but we need to get you sorted first, you need to text him Lex otherwise he's never going to show and trust me you don't want that do you?" I shake my head because I don't want that, right now I'll do anything to get him and I don't care if I sound desperate

"But what if he doesn't want me? What if I made everything up in my mind that he possibly liked me back? I'm scared Marley"

"you'll not know until you text him, and you have nothing to be scared about Lex, he's a fool if he doesn't like you back" she looks at me reassuringly and I feel my blood pressure return to normal and I reach for my phone

"I chose him Marley, I actually said the words 'I choose Luke' and he never showed, what if it happens again?" I can't help but doubt everything, I picked Luke and I'm still without him. My thoughts are disrupted by the door swinging open and I'm looking at Marley whose face reads an expression I can't understand. I turn around to see a puffy eyed Luke standing before me and I did not expect what happened next

"I choose you too Lexie"
