I'm standing by the bar on the top level of the Grill, completely ignoring the pretty brunette girl who's currently making eyes at me from across the bar. She has long, brown, wavy hair. She's barely wearing any make-up (she's naturally good looking), she's wearing a pair of oversized, thick-rimmed glasses, and most importantly, she's wearing a Motion City Soundtrack band t-shirt. I have no idea who this girl is, but she reminds me of another girl. Far too much. She can stare at me all she wants. It's not happening.

"We didn't even see you at the dance last night, Adams." Tristan says to me, pulling me away from my thoughts.

"I wasn't there long, I left about a half hour after Fall Out Boy started." I explain.

"Why?" Stefan asks. "The dance was awesome, you missed out."

"My friend Zach got totally wasted, I took him home." A lie, but it's better than explaining the real reason I left the dance early.

"Aww, you're such a decent guy!" Josh says, wrapping his arm around my neck and messing my hair up with his other fist. He's such a jock. I hate this.

"He is decent. Much more so than you, anyway, Josh." Stefan says, narrowing his eyes at Josh and grinning at him.

"Dude, don't." Josh says, allowing me to push him off of me.

"What are you talking about?" I ask the guys, and the three of them laugh.

"Josh cheated on his girlfriend last night." Tristan explains, shaking his head and laughing.

"With her brother's girlfriend." Stefan adds. I widen my eyes in shock.

"Don't remind me!" Josh exclaims, eyes to the sky. "I was supposed to go to her parents for dinner tonight. Her brother and his girlfriend are there too. I had to bail."

Tristan and Stefan are laughing, but I'm not. I don't know if I'm disgusted or impressed. I think probably the latter.

"You actually slept with your girlfriend's brother's girlfriend?" I ask him in disbelief.

"No, he didn't sleep with her!" Stefan points out, pointing his finger at me.

"It was just an innocent blowjob." Tristan informs.

I laugh along with Tristan and Stefan at this, as Josh rolls his eyes and flags down the bar tender for another drink. I notice the brunette with the Motion City Soundtrack t-shirt is still looking at me. Damn. I just made eye contact with her. No. Not happening.

"That girl has been checking you out since we got here." Stefan says, inclining his head towards the brunette. "She's hot."

"She is." I agree, turning my back to her. "Her friends are hotter, though."

Not necessarily true, she is probably the most attractive out of all her friends. But, her friends don't have brown hair, or glasses, or band t-shirts. One of her friends is bleached blonde. I'm far more taken with her.

"You up for a challenge then, Adams?" Tristan asks me with a grin. "The brunette obviously has her sights set on you, and you know how girls are with this stuff."

"Chicks before dicks" Stefan adds mockingly.

"Right." Tristan laughs. "Try and hook up with one of her friends?"

"The blonde one." I say immediately, looking her up and down. She's noticed me looking at her, but she's trying to act like she hasn't. I already know she's interested, she just doesn't wanna step on her friend's toes. It's doable.

"Whatever, you pick." Tristan says, "Just not the brunette. She's undressing you with her eyes as it is. It needs to be one of her friends."

"Like I just said, the blonde." I say, never taking my eyes off of the blonde girl. She keeps glancing back in my direction. Yeah, I am definitely gonna be able to do this. It maybe won't be quick, but it'll happen.

"Well, whenever you're ready." Stefan says with a laugh, because I haven't moved.

I pull my eyes away from the blonde for a moment to explain myself. "I can't just walk over there and hit on her right in front of her brunette friend. I need to wait until they're separate."

"Dude, they're chicks. They aren't gonna split up, girls travel in packs at all times." Tristan points out.

"Trust me." I say, because I already know the blonde is gonna try to get away from her brunette friend. She keeps looking at me too, now. They're both interested, and the blonde knows it. She won't talk to me in front of her friend, but if they end up splitting up, maybe she will.

And as if by magic, the blonde whispers something into her brunette friend's ear before walking over to the bar on her own. Walking over to us. She's careful not to look at me or any of the boys, and as soon as she approaches the bar, her gaze is firmly planted ahead of her while she waits for the bar tender. Now's my chance.

"Do you have, like, a hidden magnet or something?" Stefan asks me in disbelief as I set down my beer, preparing to approach this girl.

"Maybe." I tell him with a smile, before heading up the bar towards the blonde girl.

I fucking hope so, anyway. My ability to pull girls has never been a problem, and I have a feeling I'm gonna need to get back into the swing of things now. I haven't exactly been on my game since I moved to North Bridge. I've slept with a few girls, sure. But, it's time to get back to how I used to be now. I'm not gonna be a dick about this, of course not. The sharing game is well and truly behind me. And I'm not gonna sleep with anyone without making sure they know it's only gonna be a one time thing first.

This is gonna be good. Fucking random girls on a one time only basis is how things are supposed to be for me. I should have done this as soon as college started. Why the hell did I waste so much time fucking around with Jamie? And now she's fucking around with Shaun Campbell. Well, fine. I'll fuck around with whoever the hell I want to from here on out. Jamie can do whatever the fuck she wants, and so can I.
