Chapter 17: Love is Love Part 1!

      Maybelle was flying in the sky. She landed next to the river. Evelyn smiled as she walked up to her. "How was your flight?" Evelyn asked. "Good." Maybelle replied. "Have you decided if you are going to see Zane again?" Evelyn asked and Maybelle sighed. "I have, and I am not." Maybelle replied. "Why?" Evelyn asked. "Because he is a Dragon and I am a Pegasus. Plus, he hates me now." Maybelle replied. "I still think he does." Evelyn told her. "It does not matter anymore." Maybelle told her. Maybelle walked away and Evelyn sighed as Luna walked up to her. "Is everything alright?" Luna asked. "No. I know Maybelle cannot be happy as her rule as Queen, but I hate to see her so miserable." Evelyn replied and Luna nodded. "She will be okay, I am sure." Luna told her. "And I am sure you are right." Evelyn agreed.

      Zane was flew up to Neal. "How is finding a future wife?" Zane asked and Neal sighed. "I have been trying to avoid that." Neal replied. "Just because you royalty, does not mean you do not deserve to be happy." Zane told him and he smiled. "Thank you, Zane. But that is how this world is." Neal told him and walked away as Alexa walked up behind Zane. "What you said can go for you too." Alexa told him. Zane sighed and turned around to face her. "And how is that?" Zane asked. "Just because Maybelle is a Pegasus, does not mean neither of you deserve happiness. Even together." Alexa replied. "I have hated her kind since my father died." Zane told her. "That was until you met one." Alexa told him and he nodded. "I hate myself for loving her." Zane told her. "I think it is time for a new start." Alexa told him. "What do you mean?" Zane asked. "I mean, I believe Dragons and Pegasus should turn over a new leaf." Alexa replied.

      Maybelle left her parents and groaned once she made it to the lake. She sighed as she sat down and laid her head down. She was tired of them preparing for her wedding to a man she cannot love and her corporation to which she was not ready for. She heard a noise and looked up to see something fly by. It was by the lake, so no Pegasus saw besides her. She looked down the hill and saw a Dragon landing. She knew who he was, she just knew. He transformed into Zane and she couldn't believe him. She couldn't believe he would ridk everything to see her. She transformed into her human form and ran down the hill. She grabbed his arm and threw him behind a rather large bush and hid with him. "What do you think you are doing?" Maybelle asked. "I was wrong." Zane replied. "Wrong about what? Attacking me when you found out the truth? Hating me for no reason?" Maybelle  asked and Zane laughed. "I was wrong to be so hateful just because you are a Pegasus." Zane replied and Maybelle nodded. "You were." Maybelle agreed. "I was a jerk." Zane told her. "You were." Maybelle agreed. "Are you done insulting me?" Zane asked. "No." Maybelle replied and he nodded. "I deserve that." Zane commented. "Why have you risked everything?" Maybelle asked. "For you." Zane replied and Maybelle couldn't help but smile. "Why?" Maybelle asked. "If there is one thing I could tell, you hate your life. You hate being a Princess, do you not?" Zane asked. "I do." Maybelle replied. "Then just stop." Zane told her and she sighed. "I cannot. I am now engaged and my coronation and wedding is getting close." Maybelle told him. "Do you want to marry this Pegasus?" Zane asked and Maybelle shook her head. "No." Maybelle replied. "Then we should go." Zane told her. He took her hand and she pulled away. "I love you." Maybelle told him. "I love you too." Zane agreed. "Meet me tomorrow at the Human Village." Maybelle told him and he nodded. "Okay." Zane agreed.

     Maybelle walked up to Evelyn and Luna. "Can she be trusted?" Maybelle asked and Evelyn nodded. "Of course." Evelyn replied and Maybelle sighed. "Zane came to me, below the hill." Maybelle told her and she gasped. "Seriously?" Evelyn asked. "Yes." Maybelle replied. "Who is Zane?" Luna asked. Maybelle looked at Evelyn and she nodded. "Zane is the one I fell in love with him. I thought he was a human, only to find out he was a Dragon." Maybelle replied and Luna's eyes widened. "Oh my." Luna commented. "Why did he come here when he knows it is so dangerous?" Evelyn asked. "For me. He said he was wrong and I told him to meet me at the village tomorrow." Maybelle replied. "The Human Village?" Luna asked and Maybelle nodded. "Yes." Maybelle replied. "Is that wise?" Luna asked. "No." Maybelle replied. "Just go be happy." Evelyn told her and Maybelle smiled.

      Zane walked up to Alexa and Henry. "I took your advice." Zane told her. "What advice?" Henry asked. "Alexa advised me to take a chance with Maybelle." Zane replied. "Are you insane?" Henry asked and Alexa sighed. "That is not exactly what I said, I just think this feud has gone on long enough." Alexa replied. "I paid her a visit today." Zane told them. "Are you insane?" Henry asked and Zane sighed. "Perhaps." Zane replied. "What were you thinking?" Henry asked. "I was thinking that I am in love with her and it should not matter that we are suppose to be enemies. I cannot help how I feel about her, and I want to be with her." Zane replied. "You both could get yourselves killed." Henry told him. "She will not, because she is their Princess, and she is technically engaged." Zane told him. "So, you are insane." Henry commented. "We are meeting up tomorrow at the village." Zane told them. "What happens of this is a trap?" Henry asked. "I trust her with my life." Zane replied. "We will cover for you." Alexa told her and Henry sighed. "Fine." Henry agreed and Zane nodded.
