Sara finished getting dressed and looked into the mirror. She smiled at herself and looked down at her wedding ring. "Sara! They're here!" Max called. Sara quickly put on her black boots, that matched her black top and black mini skirt, and ran downstairs. She saw her and Max's best friends. Darla and Rodger. "Hey, Darla." Sara greeted as she gave her a hug. "Hey, girly." Darla greeted. Sara and Max had told the village about the Dragons and Pegasus. Now they are getting ready to declare war on them and take back their world. The whole Village is getting ready and preparing in their own ways. "Hey, Rodg, how's it going?" Sara asked as they hugged. "It's going great, considering. How about you?" Rodger asked as they pulled away from the hug. "I'm excited." Sara replied as Max walked in from the kitchen. "Really?" Rodger asked and Sara nodded. "Yeah, I think we can really win this thing." Sara replied and Max smiled as he walked up to her. "That's my girl." Max commented as he gave her a kiss and she grinned. "As optimistic as you are, we still have to be careful and ready. This will be dangerous." Darla warned. "You were always a worrier, Darla. But this is our world, and I refuse to let them take over." Sara told them. "But they haven't even attacked us yet." Darla told her. "Yet being the operative word." Max commented. "They'll attack us sooner or later, we can't take any chances." Sara told them and they nodded. "You're right, Sara." Rodger agreed. "What do we do?" Darla asked. "Pegasus have ice powers and Dragons have fire powers, I looked online on how to make sheilds to keep us safe from that." Sara replied. "Let's get to work." Rodger suggested.
Max walked across town and saw everyone getting ready for what's to come. They all had swords and guns. "No one uses swords anymore, so why do we need them?" Daniel asked his friend. "Because our intel tells us that they're old fashioned." Christy replied. "That's why we need guns, to keep the upper hand." Daniel told her. "That's why we're beinging both." Christy told him and he sighed as he tried to practice how to sword fight with Christy. Max walked over to them. "Do you need any help?" Max asked. "No, I think we have this handled." Christy replied and Max nodded. "Good." Max commented. He turned around and was about to walk away when Daniel stopped him. "You and your girl are the ones leading this, right?" Daniel asked. Max turned back around to face them. "Me and my wife, yes. We're the ones that found out they existed." Max replied. "What exactly is the plan?" Daniel asked. "We'll announce it at the town meeting." Max replied and Daniel sighed as he looked at the sword. "Lighten up, Danny. This will be fun, I just know it." Christy commented with a smirk. Max waved to them and walked away.
Max walked back up to the porch of his house and smiled at Sara. "Where's Rodger and Darla?" Max asked as he leaned up against the ralining next to her. "Inside, practicing their sword skills." Sara replied and Max laughed. "That sounds like a blast." Max commented and Sara smiled. "How did the check on the town go?" Sara asked. "Everyone's nervous, rightfully so." Max replied and Sara nodded. "Tell me about it." Sara agreed. "Are you nervous?" Max asked. "Yes. I have faith that we will win, but Darla was right. This is dangerous and it's also huge." Sara replied. "I'm scared too, Sara. But we can get through this, together." Max told her as he took her hand in his. They locked eyes and both smiled. "I love you, Max." Sara told him. "I love you too, Sara." Max agreed. Max put his arm around Sara as she rested her head on his shoulder and they both looked up at the sunset.
Sara woke up and looked over, Max was still asleep. She wanted to let him rest a little more. So she quietly got up and walked downstairs. She saw Rodger was already awake and Darla was asleep on the pull out couch. "Max still asleep?" Rodger asked and Sara nodded. "Yeah, he's been working hard." Sara replied. "You both have." Rodger commented and Sara smiled. "Yeah, I guess we have." Sara agreed. "The town meeting is today, right?" Rodger asked. "Yeah, in an hour. I can't believe it's almost time to take back our world." Sara told him. "I know, it's all happening so fast." Rodger agreed. "I'm nervous. When I was younger, I never thought I'd be a leader. Now leading the entire town.... Honesty, it's scary." Sara told him. He walked up to her. "Look, Sara. I've known you since we were three years old, and I know who you are. You are strong and brave. Smart and enthusiastic. When you put your mind to something, you accomplish it and you never give up. I've always admired you for that. If anyone can lead us to victory, it's you." Rodger explained and Sara smiled. "Thanks, Rodg." Sara commented and they hugged. Darla sat up from the bed as Max walked down the stairs. "Everything okay?" Max asked and they nodded. "It is, and I have a good feeling." Sara replied. "Good, because I'm extremely nervous." Darla told her as she stood up. "We should all get ready, we have a big day today." Rodger suggested. "Good idea." Darla agreed and they all nodded.
Everyone in town had gathered. Rodger and Darla were already on the stage. Sara and Max walked past everybody and joined them as the town quieted down. Sara stood at the microphone with her flash cards. She looked at Max and he gave her a reassuring smile. She took a deep breathe and faced the town as she looked at her flash cards. "Not all of you know me. My name's Sara. I never thought I'd be leading something like this. I never thought I'd be going to war either. But, um.... But.... Th-these things are here." Sara told them. She looked up and looked at everyone starring at her. "Are you okay, babe?" Max asked. She turned her head to look at him. "I don't know." Sara replied. "You can do this." Max told her. She looked at Rodger and Darla and they nodded. She looked back at the town and dropped the flash cards. "Okay, look. We're all scared, and honestly I don't think any of us are scared about going to war. We're scared about what we're fighting. Two weeks ago, Max and I discovered monsters among us. Dragons and Pegasus. They're powerful, and sneaky. But we're smart, and I believe if we all work together, we can do this. Some of us will die, but if we don't do anything then they will kill all of us. Wipe the Earth and take it for themselves, but we need to take it back from the Earth. This is our world, and we cannot let them take it from our cold, bare hands! We can defeat them once and for all and take back out world!" Sara explained. Everyone cheered for her as she grinned.
