Pegasus vs. Dragons!

Chapter 32: True Love!

     It's been a year since the way. A year since Dragons and Pegasus have hated one another. A year since the bloodshed. A year since humans have been erased off the face of the Earth. It's been a goorious year, and today is a glorious day. The day that Maybelle and Zane finally wed and start their next journey as husband and wife.

      Zane was at the caves as his mom sharpened his claws. "They're fine, mother." Zane told her and she shook her head. "Not quite." Mandy replied and he sighed. Henry walked in there and had a grin on his face. "What?" Zane asked. "You look great." Henry replied and Zane rolled his eyes. "Very funny." Zane commented. "No, you do. Really." Henry told him and Zane laughed. "Thanks." Zane commented. "So, guess what?" Henry asked. "What?" Zane asked. "I asked Alexa to move into my cave with me." Henry replied and Zane grinned as Alexa walked in. "That's great. I'm happy for both of you." Zane told them. "Same to you." Alexa agreed. "Are you ready for the big day today?" Henry asked. "I've been ready since I proposed to her." Zane replied. "Christopher is King of Dragons and the Caves. You're going to be King of Peagus, of the Mountains." Alexa told him. "I will always be a Dragon and love the caves. But I love May more." Zane told her. "We'll miss not seeing you everyday." Henry told him. "You can always visit and I'll keep visiting you guys and my mother, of course." Zane told him and he nodded. "Sounds like an idea." Henry agreed. "Things change, but the one thing I know will never change is us. Our friendship." Alexa told them and they all went into a group hug.

      Maybelle was in the mountains as Anastasia polished her hooves. She finally finished and let her daughter take a look as she grinned. "They're perfect. Thanks, mom." Maybelle commented. "No problem." Anastasia agreed as they pulled away. Evelyn flew up to her and landed on her hooves. "You look beautiful." Evelyn told her. "Thank you." Maybelle commented. "The Winter Lilies look magnificent on your mane." Evelyn told her. "Thanks to you." Maybelle agreed. "You did great work." Anastasia added and Evelyn blushed. "You're the most beautiful bride ever." Evelyn told her. Luna walked over to them. "Are you ready for the wedding?" Luna asked. "I've been ready for a long time now, and I still can't believe it's finally happening." Maybelle replied. "Luna!" Theaseus exclaimed. Luna sighed as Evelyn laughed. "A mother's job never ends." Evelyn commented. "Tell me about it." Luna agreed as she flew to Theaseus. After Isabella's death, Evelyn and Luna adopted her son. They love and take care of him as if he was their own. "Are you sure you're ready?" Evelyn asked. "Of course." Maybelle replied. "I'm just saying, May. You have not been feeling well these last two weeks." Luna told her. "I'm feeling much better today, Eve. Honest." Maybelle told her and she nodded. "Alright." Evelyn agreed.

     Anastasia walked Maybelle down the isle. Zane looked at her in amazement and she smiled at him. They stood face to face, prepared to wed. "Maybelle, I love you for who you are inside. How kind and loyal you are. You see the best in people and in the world, when no one can. I once didn't see a world where our kinds would ever be friends, I was too brokenhearted and stubborn, but you never gave up and always say the possiblity. It wasn't just idealism, because you knew it would not be easy, but you didn't care. Your passion is one of the best things about you, and I'm thrilled I get to spend the rest of my life with you and all you stand for. Your not just their Queen, you're mine as well." Zane explained. "Zane, you made me feel special when no one else did. You made me believe I can be a great Queen for my people. "You loved me when you thought I was a human and when you found out what I was a Peagus. But you came back, because your love was stronger than your hatred. You may not have always seen the possiblity, bit your heart made it possible. You got past your own feelings and created a new belief, and I'm so proud of you. I love you with all my heart, and I always will." Zane explained. Maybelle put her arms around his neck as he put his arms around her waist. Then they leaned in and kissed passionately, both of their eings spread wide. Everyone cheered as they finally pulled away and put their foreheads together.

       Everyone was celebrating the union. Neal walked up to congratulate his friend. "How does it feel being married?" Neal asked. "Great, actually." Zane replied as he looked at his wife, who was talking to her Pegasus friends. "I'm happy for you." Neal told him. "Thank you. How's your boyfriend?" Zane asked. "Good, things are working out great between us. I think he could be the one." Neal replied. "Can you believe you're dating a Peagsus?" Zane asked and Neal laughed. "No, but I think I'm in love with him, and that's all that matters." Neal replied. "Believe me, I know that.... If this does work out, where will you guys live?" Zane asked. "We'll see, but the Mountains do seem lovely." Neal replied.

    Maybelle gave Theaseus a hug before he ran off to play with the other kids. "How's he doing? I mean, truly?" Maybelle asked and the girls sighed. "He misses Isabella, obviously. But he's doing better. He's finally learning how to be happy again." Evelyn replied. "That's good, I'm glad. I know the two of you are a huge part of that." Maybelle told them and they both gave small smiles. "We just hope we can give him the life he wants, the life we all know he deserves." Luna told her and Maybelle nodded. "You will, I believe that with all my heart. You girls are great Pegasus, an awesome couple, and amazing mothers." Maybelle told them and their smiles grew wider. "Thank you, Queen Maybelle of the Pegasus." Luna commented and Maybelle laughed. "That means a lot, May. Truly." Evelyn told her and Maybelle nodded with a smile.

     Maybelle and Zane met back up. "Great party." Maybelle commented. "Great day." Zane agreed. "I have to tell you something." Maybelle told him. Zane frowned and narrowed hid eyes. "What is it? Is something wrong?" Zane asked as he grabbed her hands in his. Maybelle giggled and shook her head. "No, Zane. It's nothing like that." Maybelle replied and he nodded as he kept her hands in his. "I'm listening, Maybelle." Zane told her. "I'm with child." Maybelle told her and she grinned, causing him to grin as well. "You are? Seriously?" Zane asked. "Yes." Maybelle replied. He picked her up and spun her around as they both laughed. He put her back down as they embraced. Then they kissed, as if it was their first.
