Pegasus vs. Dragons!

Chapter 4: Warriors!

      Zane opened his eyes to hear a loud noise outside the cave. Everyone heard it it too, because they all got up and headed that way. Mandy stopped Zane from following. "You should stay here and be safe." Mandy told him. "I'll be fine." Zane told her. Mandy sighed as she watched him walk away and followed everyone else. He squeezed himself through the Dragons until he reached himself to the intrance of the cave. Zane grimmed when he saw what the noise about. He watched the Dragon Warriors practice their fighting skills as humans. Dragons are more use to being in Dragon form, so the King and Queen forced them to practice fighting in human form, just in case. Zane watched them in amazement as they swung their swords, hearing them clang against one another. Zane loved this and wanted this to be his future more then anything. He thought it was so cool what they were doing. The sword fighting and flinging fire around. The flips and kicks and jumping around. Zane grinned as he watched them.

     Maybelle landed on the mountains, next to her parents. "Mother. Father." Maybelle greeted. They seemed distracted. "Hello, dear." Anastasia greeted without looking at her. "What is going on?" Maybelle asked. "We are waiting for Isabella." Anastasia replied. "I do not think I have had the pleasure." Maybelle told her. "Isabella is our royal spy." Roman told her. "We have a royal spy?" Maybelle asked. "Of course, my daughter. She spies on the Dragons." Roman replied. "Is that not dangerous?" Maybelle asked. "Of course it is, but Isabella is aware of all the risks, and is greatful to serve her Queen and King." Anastasia replied. "And all of Pegasus kind." Roman added. Isabella flew in and landed in front of them. "Evening, your majesties." Isabella greeted as she bowed. "What did you find out?" Roman asked. "The King and Queen of Dragons are making their Warriors learn to fight just as well in human form as they can in Dragon form." Isabella replied and the two of them gasped.

      Zane looked around at all the chaos. One moment, they were watching the Warriors fighting and the next everyone is running around in chaos. The Warriors were even more chaotic then most, and they were easy to spot because the women Warriors wore a red armor and the men warriors wore a black armor. Zane noticed Neal and walked over to him. "What's going on?" Zane asked. "My father is extremely close to calling war on the Pegasus." Neal replied. "Why?" Zane asked. "Because a Warrior found a Pegasus flying away near here, my parents think it was a spy." Neal replied and Zane growled. "Those Pegasus. That's something they will do." Zane commented and Neal sighed. "May I tell you a secret?" Neal asked and Zane nodded. "Of course." Zane replied. "I honestly don't think the Pegasus are that bad." Neal told him. "Seriously?" Zane asked. "Yes." Neal replied. "What makes you think that?" Zane asked. "Because they're just like us." Neal replied and Zane sighed. "A Pegasus killed my father." Zane told him. "With all that war between us, a Dragon has probably killed a Pegasus father." Neal replied and Zane nodded. "I suppose." Zane agreed. Alexa and Henry walked by. "Hey, guys." Zane greeted. "We can't stay, we both are needed at the cave." Henry told him. Alexa waved before the two of them were off. "Wow. Your friend is cute." Neal told him. "You like Alexa?" Zane asked. "Um, sure." Neal replied. "So, you really don't think the Pegasus are all that bad?" Zane asked. "No, I don't. I can't wait for the day I can prove it." Neal told him and Zane smirked. "Then let's find out together." Zane told him. "You believe me?" Neal asked. "No, but this way one of us will be right." Zane replied.

      Maybelle snuck off to where the Warriors practice their fighting. They were practicing in their human form, just like the Dragons. After what Isabella found out, the Queen and King ordered their Warriors to do the same thing. Maybelle was in human form, so that she could hide and they wouldn't notice her watching them. She grinned as she watched them. By watching them, she realized now more then ever that this is what she wants in life. She wants this to be her future, but she knows that will never happen. She is doomed to be the future Queen and forced to marry a man she does not love. She wonders if her mother and father ever loved one another, or if that was an arranged marriage as well. Do they even love each other now? Maybelle sighed as she watched the future she can never have. "Hi." A voice greeted. Maybelle jumped and turned around. It was a Pegasus Warrior in human form. She could tell, because women Warriors wore pink armor and then men Warriors wore blue Warriors. It was a male Warrior. "Princess Maybelle." The man commented. "Hello, sir." Maybelle greeted. "My name is Dan, your majesty." Dan greeted as he bowed. "Nice to meet you." Maybelle commented. "What are you doing here, if you do not mind me asking?" Dan asked. "I was just watching. You guys are amazing." Maybelle replied and Dan smiled. "Thank you." Dan commented. "You guys have always amazed me." Maybelle told him. "Really? How come?" Dan asked. "A long story." Maybelle replied. "No need to explain, your majesty. Now if you will excuse me, I need to practice." Dan told her and she nodded. "Of course." Maybelle agreed. He walked past her as she watched him.

      Zane walked up to Henry. "Hey, where's Alexa?" Zane asked. "With her father. Him and all the other Warriors are about to fly out." Henry replied. "Where?" Zane asked. "To declare war on the Pegasus." Henry replied and Zane gasped. "Seriously?" Zane asked and Henry nodded. "Apparently." Henry replied. "I have so many mixed feelings about this." Zane commented. "Why did you want Alexa?" Henry asked. "Neal might have a thing for her." Zane replied. "The Prince?" Henry asked and Zane nodded. "That's the one." Zane replied. "Wow." Henry commented. "I have to go speak with Neal." Zane told him and flew off. Zane flew in the clouds when he saw Neal. "Hey, I see I am not the only ome enjoying an evening flight." Neal commented with a smile. "I have bad news!" Zane exclaimed and Neal frowned. "What is it?" Neal asked. "The Warriors are about to declare war to the Pegasus." Zane replied and Neal gasped. "No! I know that they're not bad! I just know it!" Neal exclaimed. "What do you propose?" Zane asked. "I will talk to my father, maybe I can straighten him out." Neal replied and Zane nodded. "Okay." Zane agreed. Zane watched as Neal flew away and sighed.

    Maybelle flew to her parents and saw them a nervous wreck, which she has never seen before. "What is wrong, mother?" Maybelle asked. "Isabella is late in checking in." Anastasia replied. "Is that bad?" Maybelle asked. "More then you know." Anastasia replied as she continued to pace. "She could have been caught and hurt or killed." Roman added. "And she is a single mother to a three year old boy." Anastasia told her. "Why would she agree to this?" Maybelle asked. "To serve her King and Queen." Roman replied. "Or because she was ordered by her King and Queen." Maybelle told them. Isabella flew back. "What is wrong?" Anastasia asked. "I was almost caught, but I got away. They are about to declare war." Isabella replied. "What?" Roman asked. "It is true, your majesty." Isabella replied. "You can not go back over there until things cool down." Maybelle told her. "No, she must go back." Roman told his daughter. "Are you serious, father?" Maybelle asked. "Yes, daughter. This is necessary." Roman replied. "Of course, your majesty." Isabella agreed as she bowed. "Be here as soon as possible tomorrow." Roman told her and she nodded. Isabella bowed again and flew away.
