Accidentally Roommates

Chapter 12

Charlie's POV:

"So how have you been?" Brandon asked. We were driving to a pizza place near school to catch up. I don't really want to do this but as always Brandon convinced me.

"I have been doing fine, thanks. How bout' you? Anything new?" I asked back.

"Well you know me, same old, same old." He shrugged.

"So what made you come here?" I asked. I thought he would never leave the states.

"Well, as you know my dad has open another branch here, and its doing so well that he wanted to control things from here for a while. And he thought why not bringing me along so yeah." He shrugged again. I just nodded.

"So you live in the campus dorm?"

"No, at an apartment actually. Around 20 minutes from here maybe?"

"Wow why so far?" He asked.

"Long story." I replied.

"Where is it?"

"Near Concordia University."

"Oh. But why that far?"

"Like I said long story." I don't think he understand what long story means.

"Aw come on I'm your best pal in the whole wide world remember? How can you let 10 years seperate us like this." He said giving me his puppy dog eyes. I don't know what it is about him, that makes me feel like its ok to share things with him. I can't keep any secrets from him. Either he'll sniff it out or I just can't keep it a secret from him any longer. He's like a brother to me.

After a couple of minutes of begging, I finally gave in. "Fine, fine, I'll spill."

"Ok so I fell in love with this girl, she was the most amazing girl in the whole wide world-"

"Ouch somebody fell hard into the romance world. Good thing I would never do that." He let out a chuckle. I gave him my poker face. When he realized he had just disturbed me he apologized and told me to continue.

"You interrupt me one more time, I'll stop talking." I said. He nodded. "Anyway she caught me kissing this other chick- LISTEN" I said when I saw him opening his mouth, from the corner of my eyes. "She kissed me, I didn't even kiss her back. I tried to explain but she won't listen. Now she moved to Concordia University. I found this apartment that is just across from her and thought maybe I can get close to her just enough to fix things and get back together."

When I stopped talking, he immediately burst out his questions. "YOU CHEATED ON HER? Dude, in the years that I have known you, you would never do that!"

"I didn't cheat on her! It's all a big misunderstanding." I said, trying to explain to him that its not my fault.

"Ok fine I believe you. But why would that chick kiss you?"

"I don't know. All I know is she wanted help with her homework then BAM that happened." I don't know why Amanda would want to kiss me like that.

"Wow tough luck man." Brandon said shaking his head. "But good luck with the plan though. Guys, falling in love and will do anything for the one they love. What a bullshit. Good thing I would never fall for all that." Brandon commented, shaking his head.

"Hello, an in love guy in the car here." I said

"Oh yeah I forgot." He smirked.

I sighed. "By the way, trust me Brandon one day, you'll fall for that special girl that will make you do stupid stuff just for her." I said.
