Mayleen's POV:
I woke up with a killer headache. When I opened my eyes everything looks so fuzzy. When I sat up, I didn't feel so good. So I laid back down, and went back to sleep.
"Hey wake up." Charlie spoke.
"Ow, stop yelling." I groaned.
"I'm not. In fact I'm whispering." He said.
"Oh. Sorry." I sat up, and rubbed my head. I took the glass from his hand a drank it. I felt a little better after that.
"Hey how come you look fine? I swear you were also drunk last night." I asked.
"Well after hanging out with Brandon a couple of times, you'll get use to it." He joked. I smacked the back of his head.
"Ow, what was that for?" He complained, rubbing the back of his head.
"I will never ever get drunk again. The result is horrible." I said.
"And where did you learn how to do that?" He asked.
"From Brandon." I shrugged and smiled. He shook his head.
"Hey." He said after a while. "What did you remember from last night?" He asked. There was fear in his eyes. Weird.
"Well just that we were playing Monopoly while drinking. Then things got a little fuzzy. And I think I gave one of the plastic houses the power to walk. Then after that it got too blurry that I don't remember." After I finished talking, he sighed a sigh of relief. "Why?" I asked.
"Oh nothing, just wanted to know. I can't believe we drank that much. Oh, and because I ran out of beer, the last two bottle were something Brandon gave me." He said, quickly before running out the door. What?! I threw a pillow at him, but missed.
"I'll go make breakfast." He yelled. He came back in front of my door and added, "Oh and you're so late for work", before quickly walking away.
"Oh damn it!" I said to myself.
I got up, took a quick shower, and quicly ate breakfast. I put my shoes on, grabbed my jacket and bag, before going out the door. "Bye Charles, see you tonight." I could here him snort. Why did he do that?
When I got to the elevator, I pushed the button, like there is no tomorrow. Then I realized Charlie was the one driving me to work. Ughh. And he didn't tell me. I ran back to my apartment, and open the door.
"Hurry up Charlie I'm late!" I said pulling him towards the door.
"Wait ok, I need to put in my shoes." He said trying to put his shoes on with one hand, because I was holding on to the other one. He held back a laugh, which made me even more annoyed.
"Don't you also have school?!" I said getting frustrated. He's like a freakin' turtle.
"I do but today my class starts at 10 so I still have plenty of time." He said, shrugging.
"Well I don't so let's go! Man, my boss is going to kill me."
"Don't worry he can't fire girls. It's like his weakness. He gives them like too many chances. Then if the person is really screwing up, then he hires a new assistant and tell them to fire the old one."
"Ok?... That is weird. Wait how do you know?" I asked, out of curiosity.
"Emm... Brandon told me." He shrugged again. "Oh." I replied.
We finally got in the car. But that still doesn't change the fact that I am dead. I hope what Charlie said is right. This is my first time being late, so he surely will at least give me a second chance, right?
