Chapter 19

Mayleen's POV:

"Mayleen party time!" Charlie said knocking on my door.

I groaned loudly. "Not interested, go away." I yelled.

"Come on its almost 7. We can't be late. We have to surprise the birthday boy." He said knocking again. I didn't answer. I burried my face on my pillow and tried to go back to my sleep.

"That's it." He said before opening my door. "Mayleen Campbell get you ass up right now." He said.

"No." I said through my pillow. He went quiet. I thought he left but then suddenly soemthing grabbed my waste, and put me on his shoulder, and carried me out of my room. "Hey put me down Charlie I mean it." I said punching his back. No luck.

"Mayleen you're going to that party, I mean it." He replied. He finally put me down in front of the bathroom.

"Now go shower and get ready. Oh and wear something nice. Not like a masquerade ball nice, but a birthday party nice got it." He said leaning against the bathroom door.

I folded my arms. "Charlie I'm not going." I said flatly.

"Ok fine then. I didn't want to do this but, you gave me no option. I'm not cooking for a month." He said walking away. I stayed quiet. What?! He won't cook?? Act calm Mayleen.

"Fine then 2 months." I stayed quiet.

"3 months and it could keep going.."

"Fine fine I'm going, I'm going." I yelled. I gave up. I can't survive without his delicious cooking. Curse his delicious cooking.

"I'll be ready in 10." I said walking back to my room to get clothes.

"Come on, we'll be late." Charlie said going out the front door. I was wearing my boots while hopping to the front door.

"I'm coming, my god." I groaned.

I closed the door behind me and followed him.

"Charlie! What's up my man." A guy opened the door. I'm assuming its one of his friends.

"Who's the pretty lady." He said looking at me.

"Hi I'm Mayleen." I said waving my hand.

"Well come on in guys. Remember a couple more minutes and we need to hide." He said before greeting other people.

"That's Seth. Rodrick's bestfriend. Rodrick is the birthday boy." Charlie said. I nodded.

"Hey look don't be nervous, I'll be with you the whole time. I promise." He said.

Somebody put their arms around me and Charlie's shoulders.

"Hi guys!" It was none other then Brandon.

"Brandon hi." I said.

"When did you arrive?" Charlie asked.

"A while ago." Brandon replied.

"Ok guys! Matt said he and Rodrick are pulling up on the driveway. Hurry everyone hide!" Seth yelled turning off the lights. Everybody rushed to find a good hiding spot. Charlie pulled me behind a table.

"Dude why are we going home?" I heard Rodrick say. Well I think that's Rodrick.

"Like I said I forgot something." Matt said.

"You live in a dorm how can you forget something at home?" Rodrick argued.

"Just shut up and get in." Matt said.
