"lotus flower bomb, firefly. when i'm low, she take me high. i can teach all the sounds of love.."

----------

Christian and I definitely were trying out this "fling" situation and I was actually loving every moment. I never met someone who made me feel so loved and appreciated, all while being my best friend. We weren't anything official yet, but, to me? He was my boyfriend, my best friend, everything I needed.

I walked in the clubhouse with Aspen; I was sporting one of Christian's jersey, a pair of ripped jeans and navy blue converse to sport the navy coloring to the jersey. It was approaching the all star break and I could tell Christian was getting super nervous and high strung. Always have to watch what I say, in case it could make him snap.

"You coming?" Aspen asked as she was making her way to our seats.

I shook my head. "I'm gonna stick in the clubhouse for a moment, grab a water and see if I can wish Christian a good luck before he goes on the field." I said as Aspen shrugged and walked away. I walked into the players lounge, taking a seat on a couch and pulled out my phone as I scrolled through Instagram, seeing all the pics of the Brewers' gameday pics; Which always put a smile on my face to see how hyped they got for game-days.

A couple minutes later, I heard what sounds like cleats walking in and to my surprise, it was Christian with some of his teammates.

"Who let the dork in here?" Travis said with a laugh. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. I was already getting along with the rest of the team so well since being in Milwaukee; Made me more comfortable with being around them and especially with Christian in public.

"This is comfier than sitting on the seats out there waiting for the game to start." I giggled, locking my phone and setting it in my lap. "Shouldn't you all be getting on the field??" I rose an eyebrow at him.

"We're going in a second. Just wanted to grab some waters." Christian piped up. "We'll be out of your hair in a moment." He said, looking directly at me. The rest of the boys had grabbed their waters and headed out. Christian stayed behind and smiled at me before pulling me up off the couch.

"Hey, I was comfy!" I was cut off by his lips on mine. Smiling against his lips, I pulled back and looked up at him. "What? Couldn't go on the field without your good luck charm?" I smirked at him, wrapping my arms around him.

He shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not." He laughed, playing with my hair. "Can't come see my girl before I go out there?" He asked, kissing my forehead.

Here comes the blushing. "Your girl?" I asked, fixing his shirt that was tucked into his pants. "I never said you couldn't kiss me." Smiling, I stood up on my tip toes and kissed his cheek. "All I'm saying is that you need to go out there and kick some ass."

Christian smiled, watching me as I was fixing his uniform, he looked a little disheveled. "I just wanted to come see you before I did. My good luck charm has to be out there cheering me on." He said as he pulled his hat out of his back pocket and put it on his head. "Cmon, I'll walk with you." He held out his hand and I happily took it, intertwining our fingers together as we walked down the hall and out to where he would go in the dugout and I would make my way to my seat.

"If you win tonight, I'll buy you ice cream." I said, giggling as I gave him one last hug and then kissed him softly.

"Deal." Christian said as he pulled back then pecked my lips before walking out to the dugout.

When I got to my seat, my sister was focused on the game. Probably didn't even notice how long I was gone. I cleared my throat to get her attention.
