"I love when you come around, it's just me and you, girl, and you."

The last couple of months with Christian had been some of the best months I've ever had with someone. The All-Star break had finally come and Christian was off to Ohio, I unfortunately couldn't join him until the All-Star game because I had things to catch up on.
This was the first time in a while Christian and I had been away from each other; It felt weird not waking up in his bed and not feeling his arms draped across mine. But, I kept telling myself it just felt like an away game, I would see him in no time.
I laid on my side in my bed, scrolling through Instagram and Twitter. I have the usual rude comments in my photos, and nasty mentions, but I've come to ignore them to the best of my ability. I hadn't really developed a full layer of thick skin, I did let some of the comments get to me. I didn't really think I had anything to worry about; I was Christian's and he was mine.
Or so I thought.
Scrolling through my mentions on Twitter, I come across a picture of some girl draped around Christian, kissing his cheek and they obviously look plastered. The caption read,
"Are Christian and Nadia hitting rough patches with him being on the road? Seems like he got all cozy with a mysterious blonde last night before the big home-run derby.."
My heart sank. Who was this girl with Christian? She looked like she had her hands all over him, and he didn't seem bothered. I locked my phone and covered my head with the blanket.
Aspen walked in, knocking before she did so. "Hey, did you wanna come with me and Gage to breakfast?" She asked, leaning against my wall.
"Go away.." I mumble, turning on my other side to face away from her.
"What's going on?" Aspen asked as she sat on the edge of my bed.
"Nothing, Aspen. I said go away." I said, voice cracking and tears welling up in my eyes.
"Is it the thing going around on Twitter? You really believe that tabloid bullshit? You know Christian wouldn't ever do that to you."
I sat up, looking at her. "They're all over each other, Aspen! I don't give a fuck that he's obviously drunk, but I didn't even get any texts last night. No calls, nothing. Now I know why..." I sniffled, looking down in my lap.
Aspen sighed, "You and I both know that Christian would never do that to you, Nads. He loves you, so much." She pulled me into a hug. "You two just need to talk it out, okay? I'm sure he didn't mean any harm. It probably was that girl; Saw it was Christian Yelich, and thought, 'Oh, I can make a move on him, he's not around his girlfriend'. Even if he was drunk, I'm sure he knows his limits."
She was right, but I didn't want to say she was right. I know Christian's past, how he gets with alcohol and how he was with girls since he wasn't one to date.
My phone started pinging off the walls, I knew it was Christian.
Christian: nads, do not believe what they posted on social media.
Christian: NOTHING happened, seriously. I don't even know who the chick was.
Christian: The guys can vouch for me, they were there, they know what happened.
Christian: Please answer me, babe.
I took a deep breath, looking at Aspen. "Should I?" I asked.
