"there's nothing like us, there's nothing like you and me.."

---------------------

"Do you see yourself marrying Christian?" The question I knew was going to be asked sooner or later.

I stammer, trying to formulate what I really wanted to say.

"I mean, yeah?" I nervously laughed, "We always said that if we don't find someone by a certain age, we'll just get married. But, now that we're a couple, I think that's different."

Alecia smiled, drying off some dishes. "I haven't noticed you two post about one another on social media..Are you two out as a couple?" She asked, making me realize that she was right; Christian never said what we are, though he calls me his girlfriend...

"I'm pretty sure it's obvious that we're dating, and if people haven't caught on, I don't know what to say to them," I shrug, "He hasn't really officially asked me to be his girlfriend, but, we've been together a couple of months, and he's called me his girlfriend. So, I'm honestly not sure what to say for that question.." I laughed, fixing my hair.

"Well, I think we should get on him about that," She laughs, "I'm kidding. I'm glad to see you two home. And thank you for helping me clean up, I bet Christian's waiting for you upstairs." She smiled and gave me a hug.

I hugged her back, "Seriously, no need to thank me. Just helping out and always down for some chit-chat with you." I pulled back from the hug and walked upstairs into Christian's bedroom and jumped on the bed and sat right in front of him.

"About time." Christian said, looking at me. "Were you two like discussing life problems?" He laughed.

I giggled, "Don't get impatient, mister. I wasn't gone for that long. You're the one who decided to go upstairs in the first place. So, I stayed and helped your momma with the dishes." I said as I climbed onto his lap.

"You're lucky you're cute." He said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. "What did you two talk about?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing important. Just about you.." I said with a smirk.

"I'm not important?" He gasped, "I can't believe this." I giggled at his response and kissed his cheek.

"Of course we talked about you, Christian, you're my boyfriend. I'm gonna talk about you with your mother."

Christian rolled his eyes, moving one of his hands to play with my hair. "What did you say about me?" He questioned, he's always been concerned to know what people say about him..

"Babe, it wasn't anything bad! Your mom just asked how we were doing, how it's like dating you since we were best friends before, asked if you were being a good boyfriend, asked why we haven't been putting pictures of us on social media..." I said the last sentence fast and mumbled.

"What was that last part?"

I sighed, "She asked why we don't post each other on our social media and I said that you haven't really officially asked me to be your girlfriend and that we hadn't really put a label on what we are yet.." I confessed, noting the changed expression on his face.

"I didn't think I needed to ask you to be my girlfriend, we've been together a couple of months now, I just assumed you were my girlfriend and I was your boyfriend.." Christian replied, looking at me. "I can start posting about you, if you want me to, I didn't know it was an issue."

"It's not, Christian! I know you keep your social medias professional, and I know that people would be giving you slack for posting your girlfriend on your social media.." I stated, running my fingers through his hair, "I mean, I've posted like subtle pictures with you in the background, but you can't really tell if it's you or not. But, why should everyone have to see what we're doing in the privacy of our homes? It's not their business..."
