"I'm just the underdog who finally got the girl..."

I can truthfully say I'm the happiest I've been in a long while. Nadia and Wyatt were great and there was nothing I wanted more than that.

I always knew Nadia was the one; We made a pact to one another that if we weren't with anyone by a certain age, we would just go ahead and get married. But, of course, times changed and now that we're together, I think it's safe to say that I really want Nadia to be my wife.

Aspen volunteered herself to come with me to pick out a ring. I wasn't really knowledgeable when it came to rings and jewelry and what girls like and so on. I knew I wanted to get Nadia the prettiest, because that's what she deserved.

"So, her ring size is probably the same as me.." Aspen told me, looking at rings. "Were you looking for a specific type or anything?"

I shrugged, "I'm clueless in this stuff..." I laughed.

"Do you not buy her jewelry or anything?" She asked me, looking at me.

"Yeah, but usually it's just like Pandora or something. Like bracelets and necklaces, and earrings." I shrugged again, looking at the rings and I found the most beautiful ring, pointing at it. "I want this one.." I told the clerk and they pulled it out of display, allowing me to hold it. "Yeah...This one.."

Aspen looked at it and smiled, "That is a beautiful ring..." She said, looking at me, "She's going to love it."

I walked into the bedroom where I saw Nadia fixing her hair in the mirror. She was wearing a tight black dress and it honestly took my breath away; I was so god damn lucky to have a girl like her as mine. She could be wearing sweats and I would still find her beautiful, she just always breathtaking.

I walked up behind her, wrapping my arms around her and kissed her cheek lightly, "You look fucking stunning.." I said, seeing her blush as she turned around to face me.

"But look at you! You're handsome." She fixed my buttons on my shirt and then kissed my cheek. "You look amazing as well. Love when you clean up." Nadia giggled, turning back around to finish her hair and makeup. "I wasn't really quite sure on what to wear, so I just grabbed a party dress."

I nodded, keeping my arms around her, "Well, I like it a lot. And your body looks fucking amazing in it. All your curves accentuated and I get to show off my beautiful girl." I moved my hands to her ass and Nadia giggled, moving my hands.

"Hands off, mister." She turned around to face me again, wrapping her arms around my neck. "I love you very much." She smiled and kissed me softly.

I moved my hands back with a smirk on my lips as I kissed her back. Nadia giggled again against my lips and pulled back. I looked at her, "Can't help myself." I laughed, moving away from her to grab my wallet and keys. "Ready to go?" I asked her, holding out my free hand as we walked to the car.

Dinner was going amazing; There was nothing that could ruin our night. Although, I was shaking in my shoes, I was about to ask someone that I've loved for the longest time to spend the rest of her life with me. With an annoying guy like me, she was in for a ride.

"Are you enjoying tonight?" I asked her, taking a sip of my drink. We were in a more closed off area in the restaurant to avoid the public, as this was a private moment for us and I wanted things to be special.

Nadia nodded at me, smiling, "You seriously didn't have to take me out like this, baby. I would've been fine with a movie at home with some pizza." She giggled, "But I appreciate it and I appreciate you."

I smiled at her before getting up and moved to stand in front of her, Nadia looked confused at me but just looked up in my eyes.

"You know, I usually am not one for cheesy occasions, I like to keep things on the down low," I told her, "I told myself that I wanted to be married and settled down before thirty, and I have had nothing short of amazing. I have a beautiful girl, a healthy, beautiful baby boy, a great career, a loving family, everything I could want and more,"

I cleared my throat, "It's crazy to think how fast we just clicked again when we saw each other after so long apart. I never will forget that day, I never will forget the day that I called you more than my best friend, I will never forget when we told each other we loved each other for the first time. And not just in a friendly way.." Nadia smiled all cute at me. "I am so, so, so in love with you, Nads. I seriously wouldn't want any other girl to call mine. You are a beautiful young woman with a bright future going for her. You are an amazing mother, a smart, caring, kind-hearted individual and I am beyond blessed to have you in my life." I reached in my back pocket, taking out the box as I got down on one knee, "With that being said, will you spend the rest of your life with me as my wife?" I asked, smiling at her, "I think my last name would look great on you."

Nadia was crying, hand over her mouth as she nodded. She moved her hand and smiled at me, "Baby...Of course! Of course I will." She leaned forward, kissing me. I pulled back from the kiss and she just took a deep breath, "Oh my god, is this happening?" She asked, laughing.

I nodded, slipping the ring on her finger. "It's really happening.." I told her as she wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tight. "I love you, Nads."

"I love you so much, babe." She kissed my cheek, "You are amazing, and I can't wait to take your last name.." She said as I got up and kissed her hand the ring was on. "This ring is absolutely gorgeous. I, I am just blown away. Does it have my birthstone in it?" She examined the ring and I nodded.

"Yeah, Aspen actually helped me..." I admitted, laughing as I sat back down in my seat. "She said that you like simple but cute."

Nadia laughed, "I figured she would help you. But she's right, simple and cute, and you did just that. But I would call this ring beautiful not cute." She told me, taking her phone out and took a picture of her hand. "I wanna keep it on the downlow for like a week and then we can announce it.." She said, looking at me.

"That is totally fine with me, babe." I replied, "I can't wait to see the families' reactions. My mom is going to freak."

"Oh, definitely. My mom is gonna let the tears stream." Nadia giggled, reaching across the table for my hand and kissed it lightly, "I love you.."

"I love you! I can't believe you said yes..." I tell her as she's still holding my hand.

"Baby, why wouldn't I? We've shared so many memories together and our love is so strong, it would be ridiculous for me to say no to you. You're the only man I want," Nadia said as she kissed my hand again.

I was so infatuated with this woman.
