~ Anthony Mackie as King Carter, Y/N and Carmelo's father.
Two months had passed. Still no progress from Y/N. She was still having the nightmares and the only place she'd called home was still a crime scene.
On a lighter note, even though she didn't take it that lightly, her father was back.
She was unhappy about his actions, frustrated that the one person who always had her back was now... gone. And all that was left was her brother and father. A very bittersweet feeling.
Y/N was pulled out of her thoughts by a knock on the door.
~
"Hey, may I come in?" Carmelo asked, slowly peeping into my room.
"You're already in so..."
"Old man's downstairs waiting for us. We're about to grab something to eat, get you out the house?" He said, as convincingly as possible.
"I'm good."
"Y/N you haven't seen him ever since he came back. I know you're not taking the whole mom thing well but just give him a chance."
"No, Carmelo! He's the reason why we're in this mess. And now you want me to play happy family?! I swear y'all will be the death of me." She said in between a cracking voice.
"You are going to get your ass up and come with me. I'm not gonna let you talk to me like that and I sure as hell ain't leaving you in this damn house alone. Get dressed, now." He warned before closing the door.
~
It was quiet in the car as Y/N played with the McD fries, eating some of them here and there. She still didn't want to talk to her father.
The father and son were standing outside the vintage drop top while Y/N sat in the backseat, the wind blowing her hair.

They had parked right outside the restaurant because Y/N had no intentions of getting out the car.
"Look here baby girl. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for so much blood to be spilled and your mother's the last person I would've thought of."
"That's not a surprise." She bluntly said. She was now resting on the door with her head on her arms.
"I deserve that."
"You deserve a whole lot, King-"
"Aye!" He looked back at her, immediately pulling a face. "I am still your father."
"You sure as hell ain't acting like one. My mother is dead because you let money and greed get to you. I don't know about you but that doesn't sound like a father to me."
"Come on sis..."
"You know what, I need some space." With that being said, she opened the door and headed into the restaurant behind them.
"Y/N-"
"Let her be, Pop. She'll come around. I wanna talk about something more important."
"Your sister's feelings are important, son."
"Not as important as getting revenge for ma. I want them dead, all of 'em."

"It's no longer worth it. She's gone and we're going to lose Y/N too if this continues." King said as he casually sipped in his soda.
"You know what, let's get outta here. Go get ya sister."
Carmelo jogged into the building.

"She's gone." He said with his hands on his head.
King closed his eyes, taking small deep breaths.
"Did you ask around? Did you check the restrooms? Damn it Carmelo!" He growled as he threw the half full cup onto the ground.
"The cleaner in there said Y/N begged to use the staff back door. Said she was being followed."
