Y/N.

I have been at my mother's house (yes, on the other side of the country) for a week now with Danté. I was trying my hardest to cope with everything but the pregnancy hormones were just adding on to the redundant pressure.

I was laying on the bed in the guest bedroom with my son's head on my bosom and his tiny hand on my belly. I smiled to myself at his scary resemblance to his father and gently placed him on the other side of the bed.

I stood up from the bed to go use the bathroom and I was attacked by a sharp pain in my lower belly. I screeched uncomfortably, stopping in my tracks just to ease the pain.

To my surprise, it only got worse. My head started spinning and I felt nauseous. I stumbled a bit before fainting.

I was awaken by Doctor Harris jotting something down on his clipboard. I took a while to take my surroundings in, almost panicking again after seeing a change in my belly.

"What happened? Please don't tell me I lost my-"

"Mrs Russell, relax," he paused to sit in a chair and face me properly. "You did not lose your baby. He's here and healthy. Unfortunately, he's premature and has jaundice so we're keeping him under the UV light."

I smiled weakly, "He?"

"Another very beautiful baby boy. About the length of my forearm." He replied, laughing soon after.

"Can I meet him?" I pleaded as I unexpectedly teared up.

"You're still very weak from the C-Section and I need you to get some rest, but I will personally bring him when all is well. For now, get some rest." He said.

I hesitantly sat back in the bed while sighing.

"So who's here?"

A part of me truly hoped D'Angelo would be the first face I woke up to and it actually broke my heart that he didn't even check up on me, let alone be here for the birth of his son.

"Your mother. And how you got back here is history... visiting hours only start in the next hour so you should expect her."

"And... D'Angelo?"

"I... don't know about that," he said, trying to make it seem less awkward. "We did try giving him a call though... I'll leave you to rest."

I replied with a quick 'okay' before slowly dozing off again.
