A Tupac imagine.
~
What would one consider a soul tie? What is a soul tie? A soul tie is said to be a connection, to vaguely put it. A connection beyond the desires of the flesh, so deep that it has you attracted to the mind. The soul. A spiritual tie. A craving of another individual's aura. And that... is what Kaliyah and Tupac had. A soul tie. 🍃

December, 1998.
"Here ya go," He handed her a pack of the classic blue Doritos.
She got up from tying her shoe as he gestured to take her bag in exchange for the Doritos. See, Pac was 3 years older than Kaliyah, him being 22 and her 19. They met in their early ages and you could say it was love at first sight, but of course Kaliyah's mother and sister didn't approve of their relationship. They saw Pac as a typical gangster after a schoolgirl. But it was the total opposite... well, besides the gangster part.
He was well known in the hood but when it came to Kaliyah, his heart softened. She was his weakness, his remedy, his best friend, his lover. All in one. He was her first, literally everything. Her shoulder to cry on, her biggest cheerleader. Her advisor. Her everything. ❤️
Tupac was working on his music, performing at the local clubs here and there but his goal was to be bigger and better. He had been hustling and working to get a record label and it was taking longer than expected but he trusted his craft. Kaliyah finished high school in the previous year and wanted to study further but of course, she didn't have the funds to pursue that dream, having grown up in the projects, so she worked at the local retail store on weekends and volunteered where she could.
"Fuck, it's cold," Tupac hissed as he rubbed his hands together before pulling a bag of candy from his jacket.
"Man... the cavities you finna get from all that candy." Kaliyah smacked her teeth as she nibbled on her snack.
"You know the cavities finna come from you and yo sweet ass," he flirted, making her roll her eyes.
"That wasn't funny?" He laughed, casually throwing his arm over her shoulders. "No." She smiled.
"Aight, why you smiling then?" He cooed, randomly kissing her face.
"'Cause you lookin' at me with those pretty eyes." She teased, knowing how much he hated that compliment.
He smacked his teeth, even taking his arm off her shoulders. "Man, fuck outta here with that stupid remark."
They finally made it to their spot at the park, after the 5 minute walk. Tupac would fetch Kaliyah from work on Fridays and they would hang out at the park right outside the apartment building she stayed in. It was surprisingly empty this Friday, but Kaliyah figured it was because of how cold it was.
