9th League: The Other Side
ELERIE STARTED opening the packages. Although, excited to know the inside of the packages, Alex was also wondering who was the handsome gardener they were with at the garden.
"Elerie, is he your gardener?
Iris didn't notice him a while ago.
"He's actually the friend I was telling you," Elerie said, biting her lower lip.
"Nakuwento mo na ba siya sa amin?" Yuri asked.
"That's also him," wika ni Elerie.
Iris was just observing. She knew Elerie was a bit of a dumb person but she was certain Elerie didn't mean to have them both here at the same time.
"Call him, cous!" utos ni Alex.
"O-Okay... Travis!" Elerie called, feeling anxious.
Yuri and Alex were shocked to see Travis's eyes.
"Oh, my gosh, he has green eyes!" utas ni Alex.
"Oo nga, are those real or just contact lenses?" Yuri asked.
He was trying to avoid the intensity of Iris's stares. It was making him a lot more uncomfortable.
Then why are you working as a gardener and janitor?" Yuri asked.
Travis was not able to answer. Elerie looked so worried pero wala siyang magawa. Sinisisi niya lang ang sarili niya ngayon for what was happening.
Travis didn't like anyone questioning his background.
"Yuri, that's enough," Iris huffed.
"Huh? I'm just curious. I mean look at him, hindi bagay sa kaniya ang mahirap," Yuri replied.
"Kahit na, you're crossing the line. Close ba kayo?
"Why are you too affected, do you know him?" Yuri asked her.
Iris was silenced for a moment. He stared at Travis. Yes, she knew him. But if he hated her that much, she knew he wouldn't want anyone to know that they know each other.
"No, I don't know him.
Elerie was feeling so bad with what was happening. Alex somewhat knew Iris was right. Pero ayaw niyang makialam sa ganitong eksena.
