30th League: Her Brother
IT WAS a cold and noisy night. Travis was just sitting on top of his house's roof and, looking at the countless stars above him. He was already on his newly bought tuxedo, maybe just a bit ready to go to the Jang's mansion if not at all for Iris's debut party.
The pain he was feeling didn't leave him even a second. He was caught off guard.
To make it worse, he wanted to hug him. He wanted to talk to him just like a son to his father.
Pero may galit siya sa kaniyang puso. It was obvious how much he had been longing for a father. When he was still a child, naive about his father's fault, he was always thinking of him. He was always picturing himself building happy moments with his father. It was all in the past now.
At sa gabing iyon, maaaring magkita ulit sila. He thought he was already prepared for everything that might happen. Clearly, he was not.
"Kuya!
His phone suddenly vibrated. It was a text message again from Iris. He looked at it and smiled out of nowhere. Maingat siyang bumaba mula sa bubungan. Irita niyang tinitigan ang kaniyang kapatid. Although, she was right he thought. She was indeed so beautiful with her pink, tube style, cocktail dress on.
Travis took his motorcycle and handed his sister a helmet.
IRIS FELT so worried. She was all set and ready to go. She could hear the classical music from the orchestra outside.
She was wearing an elegant, open back lace, peach, cocktail dress. It had a minimalistic design and was not too revealing. Aside from a pair of pearl earrings she had, there was no other accessory. She looked so simple and beautiful. She had her hair curled on its tip. Her makeup wasn't that too heavy as well.
Iris stared at her phone once again. For her, it wasn't the perfect time for Travis to be happy like the other people outside.
"Iris, are you done?
"Uhh... c-coming! Just a second, please," she said before facing the full-length mirror in front of her.
Before going outside, she decided to send Travis a text message.

Tito Wendell's here. If you're not comfortable, I'll be just fine if you won't come.
Iris stared at her composed text message. She was about to send it yet decided not to. She typed a little more.
