53rd League: I don't deserve you
EVERYTHING SEEMED to be in its proper places in Travis's life. Mrs. Ferrer even invited him to a dinner last night. Although it took her awhile to accept that her husband had a son with another woman, it finally happened.
Iris, on the other hand, was happy that Travis was doing very fine. She knew all the hardships he'd been through and seeing his life getting better each and every day, she also knew that he really deserved it.
"Hi, welcome to our program!" bati ng host sa banda. The band greeted her back. "Everyone here in the Philippines is having a Sleepless Solitude Syndrome, I'm sure you know about it."
"Yes, we are so grateful and we didn't expect to receive such huge support from the Filipino Night Owls, they are so amazing. And thank you for having us today, Ma'am," magalang na sagot ni Travis.
"You're welcome. Well, let's talk about your time here first. How's your vacation here in the Philippines so far? We all know that your concert will be happening two weeks from now and you're way too early to be here. I'm sure you've been to different tourist spots here in the country," the host stated.
"It's great. As you know, I am half-Filipino myself and I know how beautiful this country is. The Philippines will always be in my heart. In fact, I grew up here. I reckon everybody knows that."
"Yes, now that you've mentioned it, Travis. Can you tell us the story? How did you get to the band? Also, a lot of fans here are itching to hear you speak in Tagalog, can you?" the host asked him.
How did you know?"
She just remained silent, watching the interview. Baka kung ano pa ang masabi niya.
"That shouldn't be a surpise. Seven years ago, a friend of mine sent a video of me singing to our record label's email. Nagustuhan naman ng evaluator so they contacted me weeks later. Then, I went to London.
"They had all four of us trained for about a year before we finally had our debut album which was Insomnia X Paranoia and it was a hit back then. We received so many positive reviews on it and the rest is history," Travis replied.
"That's nice to know. Maiba tayo, Travis. About the news regarding the business tycoon Wendell Ferrer. He recently confessed about you as his son. What are your thoughts about it?"
"Blimey! I have nothing much to say. My father's a good person. People don't know what really happened in the past but yeah, they are entitled to have their own opinions. I mean, it is what it is. It's unfortunate that my father is still receiving hate up until now but what would you know? People will always have something negative to say," Travis said.
