40th League: The Promise Ring
IRIS IMMEDIATELY woke up earlier than she used to. She felt like days ran so fast. It was their first monthsary as a couple. She knew monthsaries weren't necessarily have to be celebrated but she felt like she had to.
She never mentioned anything to Travis about it.
She ran towards her closet to pick up her gift for Travis. It was a silver wristwatch na sinadya niya pang ipagawa. She knew Travis didn't like luxuries but she hoped she could be excused for that day.
She just had to get the best of every minute they'd be spending with each other.
She took her phone to make a call.
"Hello, Trixie?" Iris called.
"Ate Iris? Napatawag ka? Hinahanap mo si Kuya?" Trixie asked.
"Uhh... Yes.
She did try to ring Travis up but it was unattended. To Iris's defense, she had to be absent and it was part of her plan to surprise him.
She wanted to pull up the most perfect surprise for him.
IRIS DECIDED to go to Loony Bar. She was dying so much to see him.
Iris said to herself.
She didn't want to ruin his plan if ever. Iris pouted and lazily went back to her car but before she could even drive away, she saw Travis walking out of the bar.
She chose to stay inside her car to observe what was happening.
"Travis! Wait, stop!" tawag ni Karen. Huminto naman ang binata.
"Karen, please," tensyonadong sagot ni Travis.
"After what happened, you're just gonna leave? Let's talk!" Karen exclaimed.
Iris's fist closed firmly as she continued listening to the conversation.
"Walang nangyari, okay? Karen was left astonished.
Iris had so many questions but she was worried as well. Travis looked so anxious and tensed.
Iris was running after him because she had to park her car somewhere safe first.
