IRIS SAT beside Travis, checking on him. She didn't expect for this to happen. May mga taong nakakakita sa kanila but that was the last thing she could care about. She saw blood coming from the small cut beside Travis's lips.

Agad niyang kinuha ang kaniyang panyo at tinakpan ang sugat ni Travis. She looked back at Ryland. Hindi makapaniwala ang binata sa kaniyang nakikita. He never thought that the woman he put on a pedestal could disappoint him like no other.

"Ryland, please, let's talk about this," mahinahong wika ni Iris kahit na sobrang kinakabahan na siya.

"I trusted you, Iris. I loved you. No, I still love you. How could you do this to me? I thought everything was going fine between us. What is this bullshit, Iris?" Ryland asked. Namumula ang mga mata nito at nanginginig sa gigil.

"It wasn't my intention to hurt you, Ryland. God knows I didn't want to. Kaya lang..." Humagulgol na si Iris. "Kapag nalaman mong nililigawan din ako ni Travis, I know you'll leave me. Mahalaga ka sa 'kin, Ry. I don't want us to end up with hard feelings towards one another."

"Okay, that's why you chose to lie. Hindi mo ba naisip kung gaano kasakit sa 'kin 'to? Iris, naging busy lang ako sa company, ganito na ang aabutan ko? You're so cruel," Ryland cried.

Tumayo si Iris at niyakap si Ryland. She was so brokenhearted. Hindi niya gustong saktan ang binata pero ayaw niyang lumayo ito nang may galit sa kaniya.

"I'm sorry, Ryland. I-It's not about you being away. I tried loving you the same way but... I... I couldn't. You deserve more, Ryland. So much more," Iris said.

Ryland remained quiet. Para bang hindi niya narinig ang mga sinabi ni Iris. He walked towards Travis and held him in his collars. Iris tried to stop him but she knew she couldn't do anything.

"You! How dare you take my woman away from me? Sino ka ba? Janitor ka lang, 'di ba?" singhal ni Ryland. Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Iris. Hindi niya akalain na masasabi iyon ni Ryland.

"Ryland, stop!" utas ni Iris.

"No! I don't understand what's with him that I don't have. Clearly, he's just a piece of trash! You thought I wouldn't know about your agenda? Somebody sent me a picture of you together with Iris. Why do you like her? Is it because of her money?" gigil na tanong ni Ryland.

"No, Ryland! Please, stop!" iyak ni Iris. She couldn't believe she was hearing those awful words from Ryland. The man she respected so much.

"Pera? Tsk..." nakangising wika ni Travis bago sinuntok si Ryland na naging sanhi ng pagtilapon nito sa lupa.

"Travis, don't!" wika ni Iris at mabilis na dinaluhan si Ryland.

"Pera? Ha? Kung pera ang gusto ko, kayang kaya ko magkaroon no'n sa isang iglap lang. Kung tutuusin, lahat ng meron ka, dapat meron din ako pero dahil ayokong magkaroon ng pera galing sa tatay mong demonyo, hindi ako naghabol!" utas ni Travis.

Ryland stared at him, completely clueless of what he was talking about. That was until the light glimmered in Travis's eyes. Napaawang ang bibig ni Ryland sa kaniyang nakita. Those were the eyes of his father.

"Nagulat ka ba? Oo, bastardo ako ng tatay mo. Ang magaling na si Wendell Ferrer. Akala ng lahat ay napakalinis niyang tao. Tsk. Ryland, 'wag mo akong uumpisahan sa usapang pera dahil hindi ko kailangan no'n. 'Wag mo ring husgahan ang nararamdaman ko para kay Iris. Gusto ko siya, siya at hindi ang yaman niya," mariing pahayag ni Travis.

"That's not true! Hindi kita kapatid! Gumagawa ka lang ng istorya to cover up your dirty work!" ani Ryland. Kahit sinasabi na ng kalooban niya na kapatid nga niya ang nasa harap niya, he just couldn't accept it.
