Forgiveness is not a toy

Ok, so this chapter has a stupid name. I'm running out of ideas, guys.

But it's supposed to mean that forgiveness isn't something that you just throw around and play with like it's worth nothing.

THE GIRL FORGIVES THE GUY NO MATTER WHAT HE FREAKING DOES.

Guy cheats on girl: "It's okay, I forgive you."

Guy calls girl a slut/whore/other rude name: "It's fine, I love you no matter what."

Girl finds out that the only reason the guy had intimate moments with her was so that he could win a bet: "We're cool, really."

Seriously. Learn some self-control.

OK I KNOW I KNOW THE LAST THING I SAID WAS THE STORY LINE OF AFTER. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION OF THIS BOOK BEFORE FILLING UP THE COMMENT SECTION WITH HATE. THANKS.

Girls in stories, I know you may want to have a relationship with him because you love it when he kisses you.

And you may really like him because he's so hot that his soap melts in the shower.

And he may have taken up nine tenths of a chapter with a speech about how much he loves you and will never hurt you again.

But when he keeps on hurting you or doing things that you're not 100% comfortable with, you need to speak the hell up.

If your boyfriend is making decisions for you before you can even open your mouth, then we have a problem.

Because believe me when I say that you are an independent, sassy girl that has every right to tell the guy when you're sick of him.

And you don't have to let it get to the point where you're going in circles.

"Oh my God I hate him so much!"

*makes out with him*

"I can't believe he would ruin my life like that."

*makes out with him some more*

"No, stop it. I can't stand the way you have ruined my life. You cheated on me with 57294 girls, and then gave me a bad name. I can't ever forgive you. Goodbye."

*somehow ends up in his bed*

It's unhealthy.

There are some stories (yes, such as After) where the point of the storyline is that we have this nice, proper, well behaved girl, and this rough, dirty, obnoxious guy, and then they meet and everything sort of goes downhill.

That's okay, because it's the point of the story.

But when the story is supposed to be all romantic and sweet and oh my God they are just perfect for each other, then you need to make it like that.

And on that note, why is it that the guy and girl are just carbon copies of each other in stories?

Or they coincidentally run into each other all the damn time?

Examples include: having every single school/university class together, always seeing each other in the same spot of the shops at the same time of day, both having the same favourite flavour of Starbucks, both not wanting to go into a swimming pool unless the water is precisely 25 degrees Celsius...you get the idea.

And then one of them discovers a new magically delicious Starbucks flavour and decides they don't need to go to the shops at the same time every day and moves schools/universities and the other one is left thinking that maybe it wasn't meant to be.

Really. Is that really how things work now.
